#853: "This is a job for glass blowing."

Red Mage might be on to something. I'm sure the wizard with infinite knowledge will mistake a crude bauble for an elemental orb.

RaLoZ 06-01-2007 11:20 PM

blow.......
drown.....
choose.......

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
gj gj gj gj i laughed my A to the dollar sign dollar sign off

Fenris 06-01-2007 11:21 PM

Haha way to go.

Doomsday theories never hold in 8bit. Humor trumps logic and/or continuity. It wouldn't be funny for them to die as such, and thus, they won't die from falling from the sky in the previous comic.

The only exception to the humor rule is when it's a major plot point.

Cukeman 06-01-2007 11:22 PM

Fighter has done what may very well should have been impossible.

But let's face it. It was bound to happen. It's Fighter, for cryin' out loud.

Kitana Paladine 06-01-2007 11:24 PM

Oh, that is just PERFECT. I read that, and just laughed so loud I thought my mother would come to see what was so funny...

Solus 06-01-2007 11:28 PM

*gasp*
Sarda defeated by Fighter. :)

Joshua 06-01-2007 11:35 PM

Fighter destroys a mind yet again.

Ronfar 06-02-2007 12:19 AM

Not even Sarda is immune to Fighter's INT drain. (Or is that SAN drain?)

Especially doomsday theories accidentally started by me when I made a joke and then laughed at everyone for two days because y'all took it seriously.

But oh man, this comic just tickled me endlessly. Sarda was just fantastic, really.

Destroy Gundam 06-02-2007 12:34 AM

I never thought that I'd see Sardia affected by anything. Fighter screws with more minds than a Jedi, only without meaning to.

Truce 06-02-2007 01:01 AM

You know, we still don't know what prize Fighter got.

I'd say it's probably the Air Orb, but then that means I'd be wrong.

Awake 06-02-2007 01:08 AM

The evidence keeps mounting that Sarda is really Red Mage.

Flarecobra 06-02-2007 01:08 AM

Wow....they broke Sarda.....They must be godlike by now.

Probably both. Each more than the other.

argv 06-02-2007 03:54 AM

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Go Fighter!!! :D

Mirai Gen 06-02-2007 04:14 AM

Your ability to show time passing without actually saying anything really relevant to that never ceases to amaze me.

I could be reading it, and it could be a novel, with no pictures, and it would just do exactly what RM said to the letter, and it would still be the same comedy gold.

You never cease to amaze.

hanzo66 06-02-2007 05:54 AM

Wow... Light Warriors managing to beat Sarda at his own game of screwing people over..

willyolio 06-02-2007 10:02 AM

first screwed over by WM, now his sanity is defeated by fighter. i wonder what the others could do to him...

The Artist Formerly Known as Hawk 06-02-2007 11:29 AM

I love how focused RM is on his plan that he doesn't notice the dagger he just got stabbed in the head with.

Used_Potato 06-02-2007 11:35 AM

I'm beginning to think there's some padding under that hat to prevent death from said stabbings.

That said, Sarda's asking the questions that count. Perhaps they'll get away with not having the Air Orb virtually unscathed. At least, in the sense of what Sarda would do if he found out they goofed off, anyway.

nyttyn 06-02-2007 11:40 AM

that made me laugh so hard i had to go to the E.R.
it turns out my friends thought i inhaled alot of laughing gas.

Arth 06-02-2007 12:49 PM

''i think we broke his mind''

Cant stop laughing :D brilliant

I'm sure Red Mage's contributions to the party will serve to ensure that isn't the case. :)

It's the hat hair that saves him mostly.

Truce 06-02-2007 02:23 PM

You know, shouldn't Fighter get XP for defeating Sarda's mind?

I mean, RM tries to get it for everything else, so....

true that, but seeing as how Sarda is the ultimate power of the universe....
i think fighter should ding all the way to level 255*

*255 is usely a max limit of computer storage in many games, noone knows why.

everyone knows why, as it pertains very much to the title of the comic.

eh wtf? what are you going on about?

Kurosen 06-02-2007 05:30 PM

255 = the maximum 8-bit hexadecimal value.

Mirai Gen 06-02-2007 05:46 PM

It was especially funny in Everquest, because you would max out a stat at 255, and then a few expansions came out and that number suddenly vanished.

Additionally, in the hexadecimal notational system, this is written as "FF".

Khael! 06-02-2007 08:47 PM

Okay, that's just getting into the realm of creepy coincidentiality. What next? Brian accidentally proves there is no God?

Wait! I- you-! but there's- guh-
...Aaw, crap.

Now this is the sorta thing that makes you wonder what Brian's connection with Sarda really is..... making the hexidecimal system just for your online comic? Dedication
:D

Really? I could have sworn it was the quality artwork that sold it.

voodooKobra 06-04-2007 03:24 AM

Thanks Brian, this comic cheered me up from something I'd rather not post in the prying eyes of the public. Thanks!

Edwardius 06-04-2007 04:51 AM

Redundant organs... You'd think one lung less would be easily noticeable.

Khael! 06-04-2007 02:43 PM

Well, that certainly explains wisdom teeth, and the appendix, and maybe even tonsils... but lungs? Yeah, it is easy to tell if someone's missing a lung. You can literally hear them breathing twice as much just to talk normally. It's sort of gross, pathetic, and a little funny all at once.

And if Black Mage really did lose a lung to Dragoon, then he's in even more trouble than the rest of the group...assuming Sardia left the lungs out of the equation.

argv 06-06-2007 06:12 AM

Lungs aren't that redundant, guys. Either one collapses and you're dead, even if the other was fine.

Cyan60 06-17-2007 05:10 PM

It's the main picture MAN!!

Think about it, it's the fact that RM's father neglected him which causes his trans earges and made him say that Glass blowing joke. Does anyone think that theif was involved with that??? Theif is clearly not responsible for that was trying to swoon BM at the moment by saying that he was responsible for Rm's transvestite erges.

Khael! 06-18-2007 12:08 PM

Damn, good theory. I always chalked it up to RM having no skill points in Innuendo. And even less in Sense Motive.
