GGX2#Reload

I need some animated pic (.gif would be nice) of Sol and Ky for a computer project Im doing at school.

It's a simple battle engine that let's you (would be Sol) fight a computer (would be Ky). All you do is Attack, use a Special, Defend and skip your turn. So three animations per character would be all I need.

Thanks in advance! :D

Dizzy for the win. Of everything. And then I-no.

I've always loved the quality of animation -- and of course the characters and gameplay -- of the GG series.

This is a source I like.

Infamous_J 06-06-2007 08:48 AM

Awesome, Guilty Gear rocks!

Lord of Joshelplex 06-06-2007 10:37 AM

Man, I wish I could find a GG game somewheres.

Infamous_J 06-06-2007 12:33 PM

Now for my next challenge: Guilty Gear Judgment music. Any file type will do.

Mirai Gen 06-06-2007 01:27 PM

Torrents.

Unfortunately, that's all I can say. But there's ones out there that have the compendium of Judgement, Reloaded, X, Guilty Gear 1, Iskua, etc etc etc.

To get Holy Order Sol and A.B.A. you'll have to look a bit deeper. I think there's a Myspace profile with those songs.

Axl 06-06-2007 02:01 PM

Is the soundtrack different for GG:J; and if so, why?

Mirai Gen 06-06-2007 02:09 PM

Why question it? Daisuke Ishiwatari rules, and if they want to make more music, more power to them.

Isuka had a whole new soundtrack. Judgement, I think, was just cover songs of the original songs like Momentary Life, Keep Yourself Alive II, and Holy Orders and the like.

...yeah, I really really like Guilty Gear.

synkr0nized 06-06-2007 07:52 PM

I only have what the CD slipcovers tell me.. in Japanese...

So, are S.H.E. and N.E.X.T. real bands? I haven't bothered to figure that out.
If so, one of them better be doing the soundtrack again.

Mr. Viewtiful 06-07-2007 02:54 AM

Try the infamous Galbadia Hotel for all of your videogame soundtrack needs.

I'm not sure. After a bit of looking into it, turns out Daisuke Ishtawari is just the lone guy who composed and did the music for Guilty Gear.

S.S.H, however, did a bit of GG stuff too.

Infamous_J 06-07-2007 08:04 AM

No Judgment soundtrack unfortunately on Galbadia Hotel...

synkr0nized 06-07-2007 04:14 PM

I am listening to these again.

I have always been under the impression that Saitama Ultimate Weapon was merely a cover artist, not that he had been involved with any official soundtracks. His website doesn't seem to indicate otherwise, but I admit that I did not give it a thorough read.

Well, I can usually find these things out with some good searching, but I wasn't uncovering a whole lot initially. This is why I asked, but I have still done some poking around on my own:

N.E.X.T. was a real band (Korean, hence their involvement with the #Reload version of GGXX) brought in when Shin Hae Chul worked on the Korean release of the game.

S.H.E., as they are called on things such as the Guilty Gear XX Sound Alive album (I don't recall if this was recorded at one concert or multiple), is composed of the individual studio band members who worked on the GG series with Ishtawari. That just seems to be the name they gave themselves for their performances.

The instruction manuals served to be useless in this matter. The in-game credits list Ishtawari as the main composer and then give credit to each performer for their instrument (guitar, bass, etc.). There are no "bands" listed.

So, to answer my own thought, I should hope that Ishtawari continues to compose the music and work with these guys, or find artists of the caliber of the ones he has been working with if he has to hire others. Unfortunately, since they appear to have disbanded, N.E.X.T. won't be able to provide more cool tracks regardless.

Ryu Kurai 06-11-2007 03:00 AM

The fact that they're not a band doesn't really surprise me. Each individual could probably make more money by themselves citing their work on GGX2.

Interesting that they should call themselves S.H.E. When Dizzy's theme music is called "Awe of She". Makes you wonder if they came up with the band or song name first.

Did they disband before or after Guilty Gear XX: SLASH? I'm not able to dig much up on NEXT, but I hope they haven't broken up yet.

Besides, I doubt that anyone would refuse to playing for a few extra songs for Guilty Gear: Accent Core or whatever's after that. Even despite that you're making more songs for the immortal Guilty Gear, there's the fat stacks of cash to consider.

Guilty Gear is popular around here, but it is godly phenomenal over in japan.

The PC version of #Reload has working netplay you know.

ThunderousWrath 06-16-2007 06:00 PM

If you need sprites or whatever, the best advice I can give you is probably to try taking screen-shots with an emulator running and do a little copyin' and pastin'. You'll need to be able to find an emulator (tricky), and you'll need to own a copy of GGX2#Reload (even trickier, where I live), or else it's totally illegal.

I did it when I was younger to make pictures of Ryu Hayabusa (from Ninja Gaiden on the NES) fighting Bub and Bob (from Bubble Bobble, of course).

Alternately, you could search for sprite sheets. Good luck there; you'd have an easier time if you wanted to do, say, Ryu and Ken.

or you could just torrent the pc version.

Mirai Gen 06-17-2007 12:32 PM

Or you could go to the site that Synk posted.
