As someone who didn't know the awesome oldschool Nintendoey goodness of that tat before seeing the pic, I have to say that most people will just think its some emo-goth thing, or possibly black/death metal. I thinks its cool though, which means you're in trouble because I'm not known for either coolness or good judgement.

Can you show us what this is a pic of? I've never played the game, so a screenshot or something would be nice.

it's the picture he posted repeated in a grid in the background during some fights instead of terrain, which take place in the first person perspective. also there's usually a warping/waving animation applied to it.

Nope. It only appears in that fight. There's multiple parts to that fight, but it's only there.

That's neat. I would get one. Before this post, I was mostly against getting a tattoo, the only other one I was considering what the Illuminati symbol on my left wrist. Because it's coo'.

Trust me when I say that it's not shiny anymore - wow, I actually had to consciously not type "Shiney" just now - since it's been a while. The shine was due to, well, alot of blood and sweat. Now it's healing up, scabbing and peeling like crazy, hurts like a bitch, cost me money that could go into buying a nice new Wii, but it was so worth it!

Yeah, the guy I paid to do this - Joe, over at the local tattoo shop - is a complete whiz. He was also mercifully quick, only took 45 minutes. Which is good, because it was excruciatingly painful.

Also, while I miss "Panties", I love your new avatar. Absolutely hilariously adorable.

I'm equally astounded that there's such a cool nerd out there, and we let it go that Nintendo has a game where one of the main protagonists is called "Poo."

Well I'm not 100% on it yet, but I'm thinking I'm going to get the Screw Attack emblem somewhere at some point or another, and I know I'm going to get a couple of sprite images sometime.

you should get a sprite of black mage on your left shoulder blasting a hadoken all the way across your back towards your right shoulder. it's even better if you have a hairy back, because you could keep your back shaved in a way that would make it look like bm was tearing a path through the jungle of fur.

I don't understand why people get tattoos without any real meaning.
