G4, and the current state thereof.
So, now that G4 has settled in, it's time for an update. Have you gotten over TechTV's demise yet? Do you even watch G4? Horrible mistakes G4 made/makes? Stuff G4 does right? Share, if you dare.
Me, I will admit that I watch G4, and to tell all truth, I supported them from the start. Sure, I was pissed that a lot of good shows eventually disintegrated in nothing, but, I got over it. Attack Of The Show had a rocky start, but in my opinion, they have improved vastly, even though they will never reach "Screen Saver" status. X-Play has changed for the better, but I'm not sure if that's due to G4 or basic TV evolution. ...I'll go for evolution. Code Monkeys, I'm not going to lie. I have really high hopes for this show. I've seen the previews, and the commercials, and I can truly say that this promises to be a good show. And besides, if it will replace the likes of COPS, then by all means, put it on air! Speaking of COPS, where did it come from? Seriously, that makes absolutely no sense to me... But enough about me, by all means, what do you think? |

Gotten better? Seriously, what? There's a section where you go "In Their Pants" for sex advice. I liked it better when it was a show for internet nerds and gamer retards. |
Ninja Warrior is the only show on G4 I can watch without cringing. It almost makes up for the rest of the line-up.

I don't watch G4 unless they are showing Star Trek reruns or other crap like that. Their own programming is an insipid attempt to play to the gamer market -- while at the same time trying to insult that market. And they do both poorly.

If it were not ofr The Sess, I would never touch that channel, though, on G4 Canada, we get some good anime, like Lupin or ROD, but G4 is utter trash, Adam Sessler is single handedly keeping what little game related content there is left alive.

Personally I hate G4 even more then when it originally started.
I refuse to watch attack of the show, every single time I see it (old or new) its horrible, awful and unbearable. X-play has gotten progressively worse over time. The jokes are less funny, and the reviews are considerably worse, in many situations (where I have personally played the game) I find myself asking them if they even bothered to play the game. Not because they give it a bad/good score but because they bring up issues that are solved by the second mission, all the footage is from early game, and they don't bing up flaws/good stuff that occurs end game. Ninja warrior is the only show I find myself actual wanting to watch, becase that is impressive stuff. Oddly enough this is one of the shows that G4 had no/little creative control over, simply brought it from Japan and dubbed/subbed it in parts. |

really, are they seriously getting more viewers with shows like cops and cheaters? |
only thing I watch on it is Ninja Warrior. I hate X-Play, I dislike Attack of the Show.
Code monkeys looks cute. I'm hoping it doesn't end up sucking. I wish they had more shows that dealt with GAMES. Like maybe some sort of gaming tournaments, where they try to force gamers through some of the most vicious games known to mankind for some piddling prize(A wii!). |
I still watch X-Play from time to time. But I highly consider it "meh" now. I really dislike G4 still and I still pray for TechTV to come back. Attack of the Show just seems like they're trying to be good and funny, which just isn't good. Sorry, G4, I want to support you, but you have terminal cancer, and must shoot you.
