Yep... Don't know where to post this but anyway...

I can't use Paypal. and seeing the horror stories I want to buy things online but I have neither a Visa, Check, or Mastercard.

does anyone have any recommendations other than Paypal because I seriously want to buy DVDs but there's so many choices out there for buy from things I need a little point in the right direction...

It depends on where you are shopping. A lot of online stores offer forms that you can fill out and send snail mail,which is what I do. If its ebay, than thats basically the norm. What you do is look for an option to pay with a money order. You can get a money order at the post office or your local grocier store, or some gas stations, and whatnot. Just look on the site for money order instructions. Its slower, but it works.

The place I want to go doesn't have that. Basically it's Paypal or a credit card. I hate the markup on Visas so that's why I'm not getting one anytime soon. Basically, I can't buy the anime I want from this website because of the fact that they don't seem to accept money orders. And debit cards...

Am I just being too paranoid with money?

I've used my mastercard and visa online, and havent had a problem... altho i should probably limit my use to a single credit card (with a loowwww limit) just incase.

another thing you could do (i think) is to set up paypal to withdraw from a checking account. then just open a checking account at a place that offers "free checking" (ie: you dont need to keep any specific ammount fo money in it.) and just keep $5 in it until you want to buy something. (this assumes you're 18. altho, now tha ti look at paypal's site, you might be able to use any account, which means you could get a junior account with one of your parents as a custodian)

I'm 20. Problem is my location. I'm not in the states so I don't necessarily have a stateside address for the US so it makes it difficult since no one will ship anything to FPO addresses.

Means he's in the armed forces and is posted overseas.

What about getting a visa and not using it? So you can have a Paypal account?

oh.. so JC, does tha tmean the Anime shop itself wont ship to an FPO addy? or paypal wont accept an FPO address on an account?
