How long has it been since Garland's shown up?

Didn't we last see him sometime in 2003? I miss the guy.

Try January 2007.

Dr. Casey 06-19-2007 05:28 AM

Oh. ... well, that's something else.

But before that it was definitely 2003, right?

Flarecobra 06-19-2007 09:06 AM

It was the first comic of 2007 before that.

The last comic of '03 only shows them getting ready to seek out Vilbert. I'd say Garland appeared at least three times between this comic and the first of '07, most notably recruiting Vilbert and having a shot at killing the Light Warriors on a ship, shortly before they reached the ice continent and the cultists.

hence the fact that we dont have enough Garland & Friends lately

2004: Can't remember. This year focused more on the LWs/WM/BB getting both the Earth AND Fire Orb and focused more on 6 heroes rather than the now-usual 4, so I don't think it had much Garland. It might have been the year with "A Vote for the Light Warriors is a Vote for Terrorism", or I might be wrong.
2005: The Dark Warriors served as the main villains for the first half of the Ice Cave arc. Garland almost got Fighter to reveal all of the LWs' weakness right before the Class Change quest.
2006: Minor appearance while BM met Darko. Bikke attempted to overthrow Garland. This minor plot continued on to "next year."
2007: See above. Minor appearance when Darko and BM met again.

One question: Are you trying to suggest we need more of the incompetent fool...?

Regulus Tera 06-19-2007 07:56 PM

Yes. That's like asking the sky to stop spitting its saliva upon your dry lands.

I'm pretty sure Brian's not mentioned them lately because their 'part' of the story is done. Maybe he decided they were too played-out and it was getting hard to keep doing the same 'lol ur bad at evil' stuff.
