If nobody reads an instruction manual, then what is the point of the continued production of them?

If not for instruction manuals, then how would their artists eat?

Why can't artists make paintings instead to eat?

What is the exchange rate of painting to instruction manual?

Wouldn't you assume artists make more money working on famous paintings than doing instruction manuals?

Although a valid assumption, is it not true that normally an artist's painting is rarely regarded as famous or given such worth until their demise?

So what is to keep an artist from trying to aspire to such lofty yet grand goals instead of resigning themselves to doing artwork in instruction manuals?

Because dying doesn't pay the bills? XD
