The Quest for the Final Summoning, Ch. 5
Chapter 5: "Finally in Kilika"
------------------------- Raine stood on the dock with the rest of her Guardians. Turning to them, she smiled, "My mother said that we should visit her while we're here." Raine was excited, yet anxious to see her mother and show her that she had successfully become a Summoner. She wasn't sure how her mother would react, seeing how she had already lost the rest of her family to the battle with Sin. |
It was too late now for anyone to play with the chocobos, the boat had docked at Kilika and it was time for everyone who was getting off to get off. That included him. Oh well, I'll play with them extra to make up the time I wasted talking to mister grumpy guardian.
As he walked down the plank shortly after Raine and her guardians had he wondered what they would do. He had no doubt that Raine would want to take this time to visit her mom, since this could be the last time they could meet together. What a conversation that's going to be. "Hello Mom, I became a summoner and now am going on the journey that killed both brother and father! Congratulate me!" Well, maybe it wouldn't go like that, but that was how he expected the mood of this evening to be. Pushing those thoughts aside he seperated himself from the summoner's group (not that he was that close) and looked around. He shouldn't be thinking about that kind of stuff, he had business to attend to. There was someone he was supposed to meet here. ooc-As to how Ripel knows what he does, he just does. Don't feel like giving it away right now, I prefer to keep you guys guessing. |
"Hey isn't this where I met you the second time?" He said referencing this particular dock.
|
Dezil nodded at Raine's comment on their lcurrent destination. He didn't know her family, but most families either greeted the mentioning of going on a journey as either wonderful news or horrible news. He began to brace himself now for either.
|
She smiled and nodded, then turned and began walking wearily towards her home. Just as they reached the house, Raine stopped right in front of the door, "I... I don't know if I can do this." She had been excited before, but she knew her mother was going to be sad when she knew that the last of her family was now going to run off and sacrifice herself.
|
"Argoth, I'm steppin outside for some fresh air...see ya tommorow...if I can get over this hangover I got comin..." Zita mumbled as he stumbled out the door. There seemed to be a large group gathering outside a house, Zita guessed it had somethin to do with the Summoner. There was a faint voice in the back of his mind that was trying to remind him of something, but it kept switching between Al Bhed and drunken slurs, so he put it away and slumped on the steps.
|
Ripel had gotten tired of waiting, and he went in search for the one he was supposed to meet. It didn't take long before he found him, slumped on the steps of a bar. His eye twitched for a moment, and then he kicked Zita. Hard. Ripel didn't like people getting drunk.
"My, dnihi ayo ehi. U'fi piir zeudurk, ert ud'm kirihecca ryd e kyyt ulbhimmuyr dy legi myliyri zeud. Ed'c jano ihbnuvacceuhym. Huf kad ib! Canjac oui nekrd vun paehk tnihg." ooc-Unless someone followed Ripel (instead of Raine) they won't know he knows Al Bhed. So far, only two PCs (other than himself) should know. And yes, he does know the language for a reason. |
<OH, thats right, I was supposed to meet Ripel...I need to pay more attention to the voices in my head..>
"Hiya Ripel. Sorry, but I have had the scavange from Hell. So, did the whole Besaid thing went well I assume. So is that...uhm...whats her name...whatever, I assume that the whole plan has been set in motion, right?" OOC: I gotta go to bed, Ecurt can control Zita... |
Drake nearly fell off his perch from on the roof of the bar behind the chimney when he heard Ripel talking in Al Bhed. I knew there was something more to this guy than just summoning. But, who is he talking to?
When Drake stealthily leaped from rooftop to rooftop unnoticed by the public, he didn't get a good look at the man Ripel was evidently talking with. He sat and waited patiently, waiting for their meeting to end so he could sneak back to the rest of the guardians. |
Argoth poked his head out the door and looked at the large group "considering that there really isn't an abundance of people in the bar at the moment I'm offering you people half price drinks. Its not like this place doesn't make its keep anyway" Argoth ambled back inside and waited.
