OOC: Since when does one hit count as 'down'?

IC:
Rei skimmed on the path, but quickly stopped himself. Before getting up, Rei shot several rounds of bullets at the monster, aiming at the newly burnt part of it.

OOC: Bah, I save my overdrives for bosses...

Dezil saw Drake blast the thing with fire, and Rei opened fire on it with his guns. It was looking to be in bad shape by now and was flailing randomly, so Dezil dodged a tentacle, then slashed at the burnt area, piercing the weakend, burnt skin and cut a massive gash in it. He then jumped back, knocking a tentacle away from him.

OOC: Isn't this thing just about dead by now?

ooc: We should either have Celes deliver the last attack, or at least do something before we declare it dead.

Mitsu Drank a vile tasting antidote and felt a little better.

OOC: Why would the white mage have the last attack? Summoning an aeon just to do a last attack seems like overkill (And since this isn't the game, we don't need overkill)

OOC: I don't know about Celes literally killing it, just announcing that it's dead would be fine...

(OOC: sorry, I keep getting caught up in other things. (darn it Jess! Pay attention to your RP!)

The ochu was flailing it's tenticles around frantically, in a last ditch effort to hurt somebody before it went down. With one last swing of it's tenticles, the Ochu seemed to heave a big sigh and fell to the ground, making it tremble slightly. Raine bowed her thanks to her guardians again as the Ochu dissolved into a stream of Pyreflies.

"Are you all alright?" She asked worriedly.

"I could use some healing." Mitsu said.

"I took a hit, but I'm mostly fine, it's only a flesh wound. We should get back on track as soon as everyone is ready again" Dezil said.

Raine turned and spend a few minutes using her white magic to heal anybody that was injured, glad to do what she could to help her Guardians.

After she was finished healing them, she turned to them, "Is everyone alright if we keep moving so we can get to the temple?" She asked, not wanting to strain any of them who might be sore from the battle, since her white magic doesn't cure everything.

(OOC: Hmm...I prolly pressed Al Bhed to English, not English to Al Bhed...)

"Well, looks like we missed all the fun. Meh, just as well, I'm outta alcohol. Anyway, The big guy here might not be much help, but I can mix up somethin to ease any aches or pains." Zita said as he walked down the path. He glanced over Raine then the Guardians. He warily cracked a smile to gauge the results.
