Da First EVAR Sprite Contest
 

This is a contest to see who can sprite better, basically. There are three categories. Your edited sprite is graded based upon how different it is from the original, how much it looks like the intended person and how good it looks. The rules are as follows:
This contest is primarily Megaman. There are three categories: Capcom Fighter Standard, 32-bit, and 8-bit (Neo Geo Pocket, primarily). Characters cannot be 100% original; they must have another base, so I can tell whether or not it looks like it's supposed to. If you've already created a drawing or have a drawing or another sprite which it is based on, that's fine.
It is due to note that you can, in fact edit Final Fantasy sprites for the 8-bit (and possibly 32-bit, if you're really good).
Here you can find megaman sprites to edit (don't use the custom-made ones; only the originals).
Below are three examples of edited sprites (Shadow Man Fighter, Shadowman 32bit, Hulk 8bit) so you can get a basic idea of what you're supposed to do.

Here's an old one I did a while ago that fits into your categories. Of course, Pirate Man is just a part of the animation. The other guy's the sprite edit.

I believe that that speaks for itself. Now, to keep this post non-spammy... very nice job on the 32 bit Acolyte. But the ghost of christmas past is just...it's not very good. It's incredibly similar to the original, basically just a recolor. But, considering yours is the only one thus far, you're in first place...

Wait... I confused... what are we supposed to do? Are we only allowed to Use Megaman sprites? I know you said we could use FF1, but all I see here are Megaman...

I think the idea is to make something from the Megaman universe, but you can use sprites from other sources and edit them.
