Untitled Preview?
When I saw Transformers last night the final preview shown before the movie had no title and no information on what the heck it was on, just a bunch of stuff blowing up and that was all. Did anyone else have that preview or know what the heck it was for?

It had JJ Abrams name attached to it, and when I looked him up on Wikipedia, I found a reference to "Cloverfield" coming out in 2008. The article on it seems to match the preview in front of Transformrs

I believe someone may have hit on buzz starting gold. I hate not being informed.

What's interesting, is that the article on Cloverfield is being updated and expanded as I'm sitting here reading it. It didn't even exist until about five minutes after I first tried to find it. Then this little tidbit appeared, and now I'm not sure I can trust anything written in that article:

It is amusing though... interesting vandalism. EDIT: Here's a bit on it from aintitcool.com |
I saw that preview, and the entire time all I could think was "Godzilla."

I saw that preview, and the entire time all I could think was "This had BETTER not be War of the Worlds 2."

Yaaayyy others talking about this. I totally missed this thread.

I'll probably go see it, too.
I thought the preview was one of the best I've seen.
It brought you into the party via the eyes of the camera person, a character in the scene who was another of Rob's friends. By not having any voiceover announcer, text thrown all over the place, or things like that, it became an as-of-yet unknown catastrophe that you co-experienced with the characters. I came away very interested, regardless of what it turns out to be. |

According to my Aunt, who is a weird geeky lady, Ethan Hawke is the one guy who you see during the trailer.
Whether that is true or not I don't know, but someone named Matt Shivley is supposedly also either in it or related to it in some fashion. |
