Avatars

I need an avatar, and all the pics I have are too big. I am willing to host the pic myself, I just need one.

Anyone willing to donate?

You can resize your pictures easily. But if you can't, post them, and I'll see what I can do.

or, you could google Advanced image search what you're looking for and put the picture size on small. Worked for me

Ok, since he's new, I give him a break about the spam, but just watch it.

As for the avatars, just find a pic that you like, open it up in some kind of image editing program, like paint, and shrink it down to the right size.

I use irfanview for my image re-sizing needs... you can open/save as any type of image file (even .ico for new icons), re-size, and add filters. Not much more than that, but it's free. Just do a google for irfanview and you should find a place to download it.

Problem with paint is that it only lets you save as .bmp which have huge file sizes... when you're going to want to save as .jpg or .png to reduce file size considerably.

What are you talking about Krylo? I've saved in jpg and gif before in Paint....

Krylo 02-27-2004 07:20 AM

Probably old version of paint then... I was running 98, and the version of MS Paint that came with it until like...2 months ago, and now that I have a hard drive that came with ME installed on it (which is nigh-impossible to get rid of, but i'm working on it), I can't get paint to work at all.

So, basically... my information is probably outdated. Irfanview is still pretty cool though.

just find a picture that you want on google image search, then save it. then go to your pictures folder and right-click on the picture and select edit. then you can just make it small enough there on paint.

thanx in advance

You need a special program to make animated images. You can usually find free trial versions online. Try Google.
