What Did You Expect?

Pocahontas - Colors of the Wind (Hebrew)

I like Disney music - it's a guilty pleasure of mine. I loved the music in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." Recently, I was searching for some Disney stuff, and I came across some of it in different languages - now anyone who knows me in real life knows that I have a penchant for linguistics. I've downloaded TATU and Ramstein before, because I liked the lyrics - my favorite foreign piece as of yet is the theme from "The Constant Gardner," "Kothbiro."

I was pleasantly surprised at most of them, particularly the Pocahontas theme sung in Hebrew - it got me wondering: what are some of the pleasant surprises you folks have experienced? Like going home to a sink-load of dishes that are already done? Or finding out that you got exactly what you wanted for Christmas even though you were told that it costs too much and no one would get it for you? Or slipping and falling on your bum at the bus stop and being helped up by a cute stranger?

Looking for a song on radioblogclub.com and finding Lilium, from Elfen Lied.

That was lucky.

For me.... Well one of them is too personal so I will state the other.

Mine would be to meet a beautiful girl with the same likes and dislikes as me. Pretty much the perfect person to be with. (Warlords have dreams too....)

Also I like the Lion King song sung by russians.

Well, personally I like the English version of Pocahontas more then the Hebrew one since.. they always kinda make more sense to me.

A nice surprise? perhaps when I came to a night shift (bar) and a friend did half my job already since he knew I was dead tired.

Today my pleasant surprise was finding out my friend is starting therapy to become dick girl.

Not kidding about this.

for those of you who like Colors of the Wind in other languages

Anyway... Many movies I have gone to, expecting to hate, because I generally don't like seeing movies, but I end up loving them instead.

Ah yes, a very big one, I waited so long to play Kingdom Hearts because, in my mind, Square and Disney teaming up would end up much like that grilled cheese and marshmellow sandwich my dad made once. But when I finally did play it ended up being a very great game.

And, like most people, I dreaded having a communication class (i.e. Speech) last semester, especially since it was 400+ people large, and my small group in it was made up of nothing but 'jocks' and 'preps'. Amazingly, byu the end of the semester, I felt more confortable just talking with them than most anyone out of my other classes (including the ones that were more specialized to my interests, although I guess better communication is to be expected from a speech class)

My pleasant surprise came last week when I had a pepperoni flavored cigarette.

Is it a guy or a girl?

I got an X-box 360 for my birthday even though I was told they were too expensive, and I had already received a PSP for that birthday.
