I've heard some of the larger rats can be rather vicious when threatened, even enough to pose a danger to cats.

Cats are really good for getting rid of mice, which is useful because mice like to eats grains, and for the longest time humans were entirely reliant on grains for calories (a lot of us still are)

I see my previous confidence in the abilities of Elfland's sages vis a vis purging the Earth Orb was erroneous. "If I still had to consume food..." = Lich's best line yet?

Nurgle's double-take is key. There's no doubt he's worried now.

If Black Mage seriously thought a hadoken would harm a Demon he woud have used on on the Demon in Provoka, but he didn't.
Why? Because it would'nt be enough he knew that.
Now if you think Black Mage can kill the demonsin hell, picture this... where are the demons gonna go when killed heaven? Nope, right back there defending the gates of hell, meaning Black Mage may have infinite Hadokens but his adversaries have infinite lives. Who is gonna get tired faster Blasck Mage, because the demons are used to hell, Black mage isn't.
Is like going to a Mountain town, your body isn't used to the air pressure, the people there are.

It's quite genious really, with ALL of hell and BM's control, the Lich stands not a chance!

which is probably why he hasnt used it yet. BM may not be the smartest or bravest, but he has demonstrated a capacity for resourcefulness, he may not have to come into hell stabbing and throwing spells around (which would have only pissed the demons off) but he is on the right road to ruling hell itself. Or at least getting himself kicked out.

As for the demon in Prontera, hadn't BM already used his Hadoken? (not sure) besides, you don't need to out fight something you can outwit. Saved the light warriors the trouble of having to deal with it.

[QUOTE= and the infinite fighter thing, somehow, I just see "hadoken" written on that picture and a resounding "blarg I am dead"[/QUOTE]

Okay, that would be hilarious. :D

Counterpoint

I'm sure BM has some soul rending magics or something akin to it. He just has a gland problem.

I chalk BM up there with the high powers of evil and no offense but I wouldn't assume demons are nigh big on loyalty.

actually, Black Mage has only used his Hadoken a total of 3 times
1. to destroy the "Giant" (which is actually a Green ogre... or as I like to call it, a Grogre)

2.the Boatdoken, used to propel the ship faster than the speed of smell.

and 3. to destroy the dwarf-king's obstical course. ("mo-like Kaboom course")

after destroying the course, that would use up his hadoken for the day... UNLESS he leveled up, in which case he might be able to use it twice.

As for Charlemagne19's idea, black mage has only two spells that we've seen so far, Bolt-2 ("Mudda-fugga!") and and the all powerful Hadoken, both of which seem to be elemental magics. Elemental Magic is only good against physical foes because elements are purely physical. furthermore, soul rending magics are more of a white mages specialty, eg. Harm, Fade... Life ... um... Harm4?
anyway, the only monster class that the hell-demons come close to are undead, which Harm and Fire are the best against, but I have just proven the uselessness of both to BM, and so I stick by my outside influence theory...

Either that or the next comic will be another addition to the King Steve Theater series, just to we can have an update on Garland and the others in the High voice crew. Blah blah blah, something about a deseased yak, comment on Sword-chucks, Etc, Etc...

BTW, Deseased yak is not a copyright, I encourage all others to use this newly coined catch phrase.

I'm pretty sure there's a "demon" monster class. Even so, do they need to be classed? Many monsters are classless...
Why would fire, of all things, hurt a demon? It's normally in hell! You know, the big evil place where it's like a billion degrees Kelvin and there's a whole bunch of fire and brimstone? Don't you think a demon would have built up some sort or resistance?

Corneria Guard#4 02-28-2004 02:00 PM

Because Demons fall in the Undead category, which is weak against White and Fire magic.

Kurosen 02-28-2004 02:16 PM

You forgot the other hadoken.
