Unknown Power Storyline


The Beginning of the Crystaled Boy

One day as the earth was being created by the mighty gods, a strange and unknown power smashed into the new planet. For deep in the mountains a large crystal containing a boy appearing not even out of his sixth summer, with long white hair and pale as the moon. But eyes as red as blood he was trapt within the mountain for many decades, untill man found him.

The Harn a large and expansive Empire was createing a pathway threw the mountain, and in the heart of it they found the boy. They tried to free him but the crystal was made of an unknown type of crystal from another planet. Not like the ones found on earth, and so they brought the boy to there Citadel. The Citadel of the Harn protected the crystal untill they found a way to release the boy for there Oracle said "A youngling traped in rock shall bring power to whomever grants him freedom"

Many years pass and the Empire was being destroyed from armies of other factions and from many rebellions, so the king of the Harn ordered the crystal to be brought back to the mountains and sealed off so that it will not be used against him or be used at all for the destructive power it holds. Even if they realesed the boy, the empire would still fall. So a fortress was build at the entrance of the unfinished tunnel and a chamber built for the Imprisoned boy to stay, for now.

The second attempt
One thousand years have passed, the guards of the Crystal Fortress now undead and Kingdoms still strive for territory. But one day rumours of unknown power was pulseing within the Crystal Fortress, so the Kingdom of Provan marched there armies and beseiged the Fortress, as they overcame the undead guardians and reached the Boy. The mages teleported the boy to the Arcane Tower so they may study it and hope to find a way to release him and use him to destroy the enemies and unite earth under the Provan banner.

So the Mages started to study the crystal and found a way to release the boy, but the energy required was so massive it would leave a giant crater in the earth, the mages risked it and commensed the spell. Thankfully the crater was made in the sea and no one or anything was harmed, but a large scar was left in a unsuccesful attempt. The mages have failed to release the boy from the crystal, resulting the mages untrustworthy of takeing care of the boy. And so it was sent to the Paladins and Clerics for there turn. The clerics and paladins used there divine magic to attempt to break the crystal but to no availe, but they did accomplish something else, they awoke the boy inside the crystal. The boy spoke in a unknown language, but the Clerics and paladins quiickly judged it as a demon and tried an exorsicm, of course it did not work so that conclusion was quickly desapated.
So now they asked the boy questions but the boy just stared and said the same thing over and over again, "Где я?"

And so the monks of the temple carried the crystal to a sancuary in the mountains. Were they protected it from every militry faction.... untill.


The Thiefs Strike

One night a group of exceptionaly trained ninjas stormed the sancuary and used a spell to teleport the crystal away. The monks captured almost all of them but one got away, the ninjas carried no sign of who they worked for and interogations proved worthless so they were executed a few days after the Kidnap. So one of the monks sent a Messenger to Orin, Orin a Mercenary received the letter asking him to find out who took the crystaled boy and bring him back. And so the adventure begins.......

it's sound intriguing. I'm kinda gettin' reminded of Neon Genesis Evangelion's anthologies, which is cool.

Anyways, it's not a bad start I guess. Of course, I personally could do without the ninjas thing, but I'm not a huge subscriber to the "ninjas=awesome" mindset, so my opinion is probably in the minority.

Other than that...it looks like a good launching point. I mean, I love Lunar and that started out as "Try to make some money off of dragon shit", and it looks like you've got a world and inhabitants somewhat thought out here.

What exactly comprises your 'equipment' in the making of this game?
