Frustrating Gaming moments.
I have two very frustrating gaming moments to share with you.
The first is minesweeper: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...eeperdeath.jpg As you can see, there was no possible way of knowing between my two options aside from intuition... And my gut was telling me to pick the other one, but I didn't, and so I paid the price. The second is Cave Story: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...yCloseCall.jpg Running Hell, that's a pretty good time to get, and I got killed by a falling skull. This is when Ballos is going into his final form, and he's not actually attacking me in any way yet, this is a transitory period. I'd used my life-pot already, but I had enough to take the 2 damage from the spikes, perch on his cheek and give him a missley death in like two seconds if I hadn't been killed by that skull. I would have gotten the special starting screen too. So, any frustrating gaming moments you have? (on or off record?) |
I've got a few.
-Finishing Dragon Warrior 7. Completely. -Just seeing what I'm assuming is the last level in Journey to Silius. It was self scrolling, if you've played the game. -The S class test in MegaMan Legends 2. I spent an entire day just perfecting my run on that. -Trying to get a grandmaster ranking on the caverns stage in Tenchu 2. I was pretty frustrated until I found out that there was an area off of that waterfall at the beginning. -You know what, just trying to grandmaster anything on Tenchu 2. It was like you had to have a perfect run in that game to pull it off. -Super C. All of it. I've got more, of course. But I'm sleepy, and it'd be funnier if I could give you more specific examples. Mebbe some pictures or something, too. |
Trying to finish Silver Surfer on the NES.
If you have ever played that game you will quake in fear. It makes Metroid about as hard as pong with no other players. I only managed to finish 3 levels before I broke that cartridge. |
Some puzzles in the Silent hill series are pretty devious - same in the Half Life series.

Lumenskir, gettin' spammy. We prefer to see some kind of some content in these posts on this message board. Just FYI.
As for myself, Battletoads was like getting punched in the face, saying "wow that really hurt," and then getting right back in line to get punched in the face all over again. Oh and for some reason I couldn't get past the next to last castle in New Super Mario Brothers, but then I went back to it after like four months and was like what this is easy as hell, why did I ever have a problem here? |
No One Knows by Queens of the Stoneage in Guitar Hero.
0-40% "Heh, you call that Expert? pssh" 41-60% "Geez, why does my arm hurt so much?" 61-74% "Aw shit! Is my funny bone sticking out of my shoulder?! Holy crap, how am I supposed to play that?! Song Failed. 75% complete. |
Quote:
Intro: I can do most of it without looking at the screen. Verses: I can do ALL of it without looking at the screen First solo: Pretty easy, I can get about 80-90% of it Second through ninth solo: Why are there so many solos? D: Generally, if I fail, it's around 75%. I stopped failing a lot on the song though. Damn long song. |
... >_>
Medium "Surrender". Only 3 stars. Everything up to, and including, the 3rd set of songs is five stars and there are some songs at 100%. But I can't fucking play Surrender without sucking at it. @_@ |
Jordan: Need I say more?
In general gaming, being one point/unit of currency away from getting the result/item that you want/need. |
