For Ecurt... For one, the weapons are blunt. You aren't spliting any skulls with those weapons... And if you did kill him, Vlad would probably declaw you along with many other things, seeing as now he would have to completely dominate the short, bald man so he doesn't get completely pissed off and force Vlad to kill him. (Making Vlad do more work then he has to, he does not like that)

And if you read the orcs bio thing, it says they are big, furry, pig faced people.

I don't know... it said they were furry in the stuff I looked up. When I think furry orcs, I just think really out of control body hair.

I've been thinking of Ganon from that old, crappy Zelda cartoon, then making him furry...

And is Ch. 2 coming soon? (Once it does, the tournament will be almost over since I want to get it over with...)

Nymph powers... well, why not just give Aidelyn "Blinding Beauty" and "Unearthly Beauty"?

Blinding Beauty basically means that if she decides to turn the charm on, anyone looking at her is immediately blinded, given that they have just seen a veritable goddess of beauty and their eyes can't process the information.

Unearthly Beauty means that when Aidelyn disrobes, anyone seeing her dies in transcendent ecstasy, being that the mortal incarnation of incomparable bliss has revealed her true nature to them.

Oh wait, Aidelyn's a nereid, not a nymph, right? Then we'll have to use something like a "Drowning Embrace" and a "Siren Call" power...

Drowning Embrace means that anyone she embraces will die of drowning unless she doesn't want to use the power. Considering who is embracing them, there aren't much better ways to go.

Siren Call is exactly what it implies - a siren's call. FYI, Siren here refers to the Greek Sirens... after hearing them, no music or sound can EVER compare to their song, and you'll crawl over a hundred miles of broken glass and acidic lava just to hear it again.

Well, a nereid is a sea nymph, so it's not that much of a difference... And those seem a little odd, especially the first two...

And Greek Sirens didn't make you want to hear it again over anything, just if you hear it you will want to go to the Sirens and do as they say (I think). Once you are out of their songs range nothing is different...

I like the water control like Forever Zero said. ^^

But my character really is a weakling, isn't she? Maybe she could have some sort of healing magic, since water is usually associated with healers, and... ooh! *runs to shelf-o-mangas to see what Rune the water faery-guy can do*

Phooey, I don't have the right volume with me, but in Dragon Knights, Rune, the water knight/faery guy can do this cool thing with these orbs of water... I'm not positive on how they work exactly, I'll have to look it up when I find the right volume.

So maybe some water control, but only when she's actually around water (unlike a mage she can't just summon up water from nowhere) and then she can have slight healing magic perhaps?

Second Chapter will be up either later tonight or tomorrow... depending on how lazy I am...

And Celes, some things that nerieds would be good at: Thievery, speed based combat, and espionage. Nerieds aren't exactly a 'strong' race, either in magic or physical combat. Some healing magic I'll allow, but you won't be too good at it, and I'm thinking you may only know a VERY little bit now and get a bit better in time.
The control of water, well, it's not a thing I had planned for the race, so it would be a sepcial thing you know. Hmmmm... I'll think about it. This is sounding a lot like magic which would make 5 out of 7 people mages when I didn't want mages...
In all reality, you don't need to be that powerful, if you don't mind being kind of wussy... We're just trying to think of ways to make you useful in combat.

Edit: New discussion thing will go up with the new chapter. Also: I'm not going to add race powers to make a character more powerful, because that makes everyone in their race more powerful, and, in the case of nerieds and nymphs, will make Vlad more powerful... which would mean making everyone else even MORE powerful to account for that, yada yada. Plus, it means very little in the way of the PC being 'special' or whatever.

Well, don't worry about the mage-y things, since you don't want any more mages. She could just has very weak healing spells, and maybe she could learn how to weild a dagger or something, and she could fight in close combat, using the speed thing you were mentioning before. Also the espionage thing would be good too.

I don't mind really being sorta wussy, just as long as I'm not useless.

(but if I can find out about the cool thing with the water balls that Rune from dragon knights can do, can I maybe do that (it's nothing really special or powerful, and I'll post what it does once I find it so you can give the ok on it.)

She could be the spy/thief... For whatever reason Vlad will take a shine to her, and give her some special training in espionage. Planning on having some specialized slaves anyway (Though not in espionage, more like healing and healing magic...).

So she would be the spy of the group (Though Vlad can do it to with morphing...).
