Not most people, just the ones able to use magic decently. Jormungand, Rovial, and Aidelyn all have weaker wills than Vlad. The others have about equal, which, as I said, still makes it very difficult for you to gain control because you're attacking them on their home turf. And most people aren't mages... which is why I said I didn't want that many at the beginning. Mages are looked down upon and feared by the commoners.
Also, Awe/Daydream aren't attack modes... Id Insinuation, Psionic Crush, Ego Whip, and Mind Thrust are the ones that you could use to weaken them. All of those powers don't require you to concentrate to keep them in effect when used as an attack mode. Id insinuation doesn't make them go as crazy when used as an attack mode, but it does confuse them, ego whip makes them feel inferior for a few seconds to minutes, it's just a quick lash... etc. etc. |
Ah, Thanks for the explaination. ^^ (well, Aidelyn has a strong will power, but I don't know if it's stronger than Vlads...)
(just a random thought, but ever since Aidelyn has been my character, The song "I'm a slave for you" keeps popping up in my head and getting stuck... If it keeps happening, I might just go insane and kill you all. (I dislike Britney Spears a LOT, and I dislike that song even more so.... grr...)) *eye twitches* (Then when THAT song isn't stuck in my head "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" somehow gets stuck in my head..... grr..... I swear I'm going to go insane.) Oh yeah, off the current topic, but how long do you think it will be before Vlad, Aidelyn, etc etc get into the main story? (just wondering, not nagging or anything) And will Aidelyn still be Vlad's slave even after they are travelling with the rest of the heros? |
When the thing happens to introduce you all to the rest of the story (around the third chapter, maybe late second or very early fourth, if the posts keep coming as quick as they did yesterday), it's going to be up to the players whether you're still his slave. Same with Rovial (Ecurt's character).
I'll toss Vlad something to do (and by extension his slaves) in the next chapter, if he doesn't come up with something himself. |
Screw choice, you're mine...
Can I go find a super powerful psionic artifact like Forever is doing with his fire amulet thing? Edit - I can see Awe/Daydream for attacking purposes. Awe will make them scared, so they will either make rash attacks or be to scared to fight back. Daydream will cause them to lose their concentration, making them easier targets. |
I'd rather give you some way to use psychokinesis or something, as opposed to allowing you to make your psionics in general even stronger. Really... a powered up domination for someone with your character's morals gives me the heebie jeebies.
And... alright, awe/daydream can be used for that as well. |
Ok, a super powerful psychokinesis amulet...
And to involve Aidelyn and Rovial, he will bring Aidelyn for entertainment, and Rovial to disarm traps and go first in dangerous areas. |
Alright... just try to be back at the village by chapter three, is all... and, uh, remove the super from that 'super powerful' yada yada.
|
Bah, no problems, if he tried anything, I'll throw out a fire net and keep him in line. And my aritfact wasn't going to be "Super" powerful, just enhance his fire abilities/powers some, so he can cast his higher level spells more easily.
|
If you tried anything I would make you think you're a chicken...
And soon I will be able to control fire... Can I replace the word super instead of remove it? |
Only if you replace it with something like 'quasi' or 'sort of'... a 'powerful' amulet, no extra adjectives necessary, is quite enough, I think.
