And my guy is a mage, a pyromantic mage, I can easily resist you long enough to turn you, the other slaveowners, and everyone in that observation box to ash before you could break me.

And A. How do you plan on controlling fire IHMN, and B. How does controling fire work, krylo?

I think it's hard to cast spells with a large headache while your dreaming about nightmares and your ego has been whipped... Plus there are four water nymphs in the room, four water shields mixed into one.

And this is it.

Control Flames -- May make a flame hotter/colder, and at higher levels gain immunity from fire-based spells. At even higher levels may turn fire- based spells back on the attacker, and create fire based attacks from torches, and at the highest levels may create 'creatures' from the flame.

So as a pyromantic mage, couldn't I just throw up a fire shield and continue my burnination while he reflects them back at me? Actually, couldn't I throw up a fire shield, then just leap at him? And it would strain you too much to control 4 water nymphs (Weak, but it is four of them), and to try and control/distract me (A strong resistor, who would get a headache, but could cast an instant fire spell and not worry about thinking it out at all.)

I think he plans on using it under the psychokinesis section of powers. The control fire ability.

And, I already explained back in the day when IHMN was looking through powers... low ability gives moderate control over natural flames, medium gives lots of control over natural flames and some control over magical flames, high gives good control over magical and perfect over natural... but the magician's ability conflicts with the psionics, so even a skilled fire controller could be hit by an equally skilled mage.

And... if I had to rationalize the exact mechanics... they control flame by forming 'walls' of air about it, and redirecting it around like that. Kind of like a flame will stop and turn if you put a piece of metal against it...

And I agree with FZ... if you had to control them, it'd take awhile for them all to get their shields up, and it would drain you.

A fight between your two characters wouldn't be very cut and dry. It'd probably be very messy and involve lots of things burning down...

So if Aidelyn was to look into Vlad's eyes and he was to mesmorize her, she would go all melty in love (or something like it) for him? But after the mesmorization is over, they go back to their old feelings for the person, right?
