FM5 :: Japan Only? BLASPHEMY!
I love Front Mission.
I loved FM1. I loved FM2, even if it departed significantly from the series normal style of gameplay. I loved FM3. I looovved FM4. FM5? I DON'T KNOW IF I LOVE IT. Because it's never coming to America. Because it came out at the end of 2005 in Japan, got rave reviews, sold hundreds of thousands, and... Never came to America. The last great FM game on the PS2 and it won't be coming to America. It's like not having one of the Final Fantasy games come over. I spit upon thee Square Enix, SPIT! |
Im pissed too, I really wanted to paly it, Ive only played 1 and 4, but I really liked them. What ever happened to FM Online?
|
They only took out ownership of the name, they never announced they were going to make it. Or something along those lines.
|
Looked up wikipedia on it and, despite never playing it before, it does look like a good game. Well Europe will never see. Pity.
Why can't have nice things Japan?!? |
Thats a real shame. I first encountered the series with Front Mission 3, and I enjoyed that a LOT. FM4 was also quite excellent.
On a side note, how was FM 1 & 2 released in the US? I would love to give them a try. |

They weren't. Didn't stop some emula...er...um. Some other forms becoming translated and available. |
well...if you've got a MOD chip or a Japanese PS2 you can still get a copy.

Front Mission 3 was absolutly great, one of my favourite games ever
Its a good signwhen you have to put 80+ hours into a game and still find out that you will LOSE a battle if you dont plan right There is no such thing as "overpowered player" with Front Mission, and i love it Also, causing 600+ Dmg with Meele is fun =3 So yeah... Japan is stupid for not giving me FM5 |
How good is FM4? Would it be worht getting?
|
no FM5? HORSE GARBAGE!
FM4 was fun, never finished it though (mostly because i kept playing the missions instead of running simulations, so i didn't have the gear to beat the last level). they did some really awsome stuff with squad-based tactics, and the skill system was pretty cool, too. interesting wanzer designs, and a few new weapons (rocket pods = yay, bazookas = not so much). pretty much what you'd expect from a sequel to FM3. |
