Wheel of Time

so... anyone heard/seen anything about a new book sometime in our lifetime?

judging by the time it took between the tenth and the eleventh, i think it could be a long wait.. but c'mon... almost 3 years between books?..

As much as it pains me to say, it's coming in 2009. According to some article in Forbes, as found here. And the Wikipedia article, for additional info, here.

Well, the past few books have taken 2-3 years for writing and publication, and the next book is supposedly going to be the final one. Also factor in that all the books in the series (save new Spring) are absolutely massive tomes, and his current health problems, and waiting another 2 or so years for A Memory of Light shouldn't be too bad.

It could take longer than it would usually, because I did read somewhere that it would be the last book, even if it had to be ridiculously long. My chief concern is that he'll die before the final book is finished. I did not read that huge series to be left hanging with an unfinished finale.

I would hate life if he died before finishing the series.

I hope that if he does die, that someone close to him chooses to finish the series off of his notes. I imagine he might have something like that set up, just in case. At least, I hope so. Either way, I really want it to be Robert Jordan who finishes the series.

Well you can always check out Dragonmount, you know the website with his blog and hordes of fanatics on it if you really want a day to day update on RJ's health and doings.

I played the game. It was very scary. And I had to upgrade my graphic hardware.

Clickabooh!

The game wasn't that good. I'd classify it as "what would happen if you had Doom, but instead of guns, you used ter'angreal?"

The books are much better.
