The Quest for the Final Summoning, Ch. 6
Chapter 6: "Into the Fire."
------------------------- Finally making it to the temple, Raine stopped to speak to a priest at the temple. By the door, a priest was trying to shoo away some little fire lizard things that had run into Raine and started following her for some reason, appearing to be some guy's pets. After she was done talking to the priest she walked over to the man with the lizards and and introduced herself, commenting on how cute his little lizards were. Then she turned to go to the cloister of trails, but stopped in her tracks. There, standing in the entrance to the trials, was Ripel, who blinked. For a moment he just stared at the group, then shook his head realizing what he was doing. Quickly, he changes his expression into the usual innocent grin he normally had on, and stepped forward to greet them. "Hello, you guys are here sooner than I thought you would be. Well, I can't say I'm not glad to see you all again." (OOC: sorry, for not much of an intro SS, we needed to get to the temple and a new chapter was a good point to do it, but I made your character follow your lizards who followed Raine, and from there you can find a way to join the group.) |
Dezil scowled and muttered to himself, "I'm pretty sure most of us would say we would be glad if we never saw you again..." He gave a curt nod to Ripel however.
|
ooc: does ripel look Al Bhed? I remember in Macalania one of the temple gaurds wasn't going to admit Rikku into the temple.
Mitsu's eyes narrowed. He didn't like Ripel. |
Drake was leaning against the wall, appearing to relax. However, on the inside he was cursing at himself. Should've gotten here sooner. Maybe then I could've learned more of this plan he has for Raine...
He got up to his normal standing position and leered at Ripel. "I've got my eye on you..." he mumbled. |
(OOC: I don't think Ripel is Al Bhed *in the sign up he said he was born in Mt Gagazet, kinda detached from Bikanel Desert*)
Zita could hear the grumblings and snide remarks, but he didn't dare go inside to defend his friend, lest he get caught by the Al Bhed haters. Plus, currently he was shooing away a strange and annoying flying lizard which kept sniffing around his guns. (OOC: I'll delete the lizard thing if SS doesnt like it) |
ooc: The Albhed didn't all unite and move to Bikanel until Cid united them and built the Home. Rikku says as much when you're in the sanubian desert.
|
OOC: Theres an Al Bhed establishment in Bikanel in this RP...and I'm just saying that Ripel isnt Al Bhed.
|
OOC:they did have a former 'home' like place until Sin destroyed it (I'm pretty sure Sin distroyed it... it got destroyed somehow) long before the events of FFX... ^^; Just FYI. I don't know WHERE the place was though.
|
OOC: Found it, thank you loser who compiled the FFX game script for Game Faqs
RIKKU: (sad) You're right. You're right, Wakka. We Al Bhed, we...we weren't always like this. Sin destroyed the island where we all used to live. After that, we were scattered to every corner of Spira. But then, my dad brought the Al Bhed together again. We few put our minds to it and worked together, then we could make a new home. Everyone worked hard, we had our Home back again... But now... Why did things have to turn out this way? So we could just say that the island was off the coast of Bikanel, which is why the Al Bhed knew of the machina buried there. |
OOC: Heh. I have the entire script of FFVI on my computer somebody wrote. ^^ And sure, I'm alright with saying their island was just off of the coast of Bikanel, since I would bet Cid would want to return their Home to a semi-familiar place, or a place like their old home.
