Am I broken?
Well I'm noticing that compared to a lot of people I work with I have a significantly different personality.
I don't drink, nor smoke, nor want to do either, nor do Iever want to do drugs. I have no interest in a relationship(girlfriend/boyfriend type) whatsoever, at all. I highly hate parties, group gatherings, etc. IS I BROKEN? |
You seem to fit the antisocial archetype. Perhaps you are mildly-moderately autistic, or some such?
Broken is a strong word. It's not like you're missing all your limbs or you try to bite people that come within 3 feet of you... Well, maybe you do try to bite people that come within 3 feet of you, I wouldn't know. But disliking drinking, smoking, drugs? Not overly unusual at all. |
Anti-social means one has criminal leanings, in the psychology world.

In RaiRO, yes.
Life? Not so much. Just have a few odd qualities. A relationship, mentally, is just a trick caused by chemicals. So not wanting one could be a chemical problem rather than a mental problem. |
Do you still have people you hang out with, including just one-to-one dealies? I mean that's a sure sign you're not broken.
|
Well, we're in the same boat, buddy.
I, for one, have no interest in any form of drug, alcohol, or somesuch activities, and I identify as a proud asexual. I don't even find any pleasure in games where you can beat the shit out of or be mean to people for no reason. Am I different? Yeah, maybe. Broken? Don't think so. Never broke a bone in my life. I believe a better term than "Antisocial," since I'm pretty sure you're not psychotic, would be "Introverted." |

Do you still interact with your co-workers? As long as you're doing that, you should be fine. If you start going on some "I'm so much better than you for these reasons" tangent, though, then I'd say you have a problem. Likewise, as long as you aren't going out of your way to avoid social interaction (dodging your friends) you should be fine. |
