Tsubasa stepped away from the wall she had been leaning against since they all arrived there and moved back into formation behind Koyuki. From what she said, there was a good chance of no further detours before the first encounter with Genkai Kurama. That was something, at least. Tsubasa idly wondered how long it would take to catch up with their target, but didn't bother to ask. They'll get there when they get there.

"Uh, is everyone we meet gonna be this insane? I'd like a heads up, if that's the case," Suzume announced to no one in particular, now at the back of the group. And, at the same time, a though was going through his head: "Wait, why am I even following these people?"
Shrugging off his subconscious thinking, the demon hunter waited for the obvious answer. A group like this could never be completely sane. Even someone as dumb as Suzume could tell that just at a glance. Well, he could get some free food and rest for having to stick with them for a day or two. Or he was hoping that, at least. |
Raze followed along, exiting the doorway when the life that was Koyuki made the motion to move. Or as much as Raze could make out, began to move. It wasn't too hard to tell when the living were moving, as they were such bright glowing lights that shone brighter when they did something, so much so that there was no possible way anyone could ever lose track of-
Raze found himself caught on something. It was like getting your pants leg stuck in a doorway, only in this case, he wasn't wearing pants. And it was his soul stuck in a doorway, and being pulled deeper into it. Like those Urban Legends you hear about elevators....especially the soul stealing ones. "Crap!" Raze hadn't been paying attention as Tsubasa walked behind him, and his own lethargic pace had allowed her to catch up to him, the strange kimono she weaved still on her person. Which his leg was now entering. While normally it took a bit of will to place himself in the living world, there were certain things out there that could actually pull him in with ease, some so much so that it was actually harder resisting the pull. It wasn't neccesarily the case with Tsubasa's newly weaved Kimono, though. All Raze would have to do was pull himself out of it, slowly. Which would have been possible, had Tsubasa not been walking towards Raze... In the land of the living, the kimono, despite not having a ceremony for it, had caught an inhabitant, and was both moving and emitting an aura from within Tsubasa's pouch. |
"Hmm... White Kimono, was it?" Hasu had been very quiet throughout the entire... ordeal. Now, she'd flowed silently to Tsubasa's side, a gentle smile playing along her lips.
Hasu gestured with a pale hand at Tsubasa's pouch. "It appears somethings wrong with your pouch...." |
Tsubasa didn't pause and reached into her pouch, pulling out the kimono Raze had accidently bound himself to. The aura of malevolence that usually radiated from the kimono was strong enough to produce a faint glow now. She stopped.
"A moment, please." Tsubasa stepped away from the others, unfolded the kimono face down on the ground, and drew a kunai from her left armguard. Turning her left wrist towards her face, Tsubasa sliced it open. She then reached over the kimono and turned her wrist down, letting her blood drip onto the kimono. When a sufficient amount had stained into the cloth, Tsubasa withdraw her arm, stepped back, and began rapidly chanting chakra. Before their eyes, the blood stain spread out and shaped itself into that of a spider. The kimono floated up from the ground and began to fill out as though something was growing from within. Then the limbs came. Long, sickly green and blue arms, legs, and a head were assembled in thin air out of Tsubasa's chakra. Four-fingered claws extended from the ends of his arms. A mass of dirty black hair stemed from the head. Raze Hel was becoming manifested in the material realm. The kimono changed as well, becoming mere rags that concealed his lower jaw, or lack thereof. The crimson spider motif still remained. Then gravity took over and Raze landed on his feet. Or butt...depending on how fast he could react to the sudden gravity. Tsubasa looked a little pale and exhausted after the ritual. And yet, she was already sewing a new cursed kimono. "I wonder who this one is?" Tsubasa wondered aloud, not directly asking Raze himself. It had to be a weird experience for Raze as well. When Tsubasa was a lost soul, the world was warped, she couldn't feel the wind, the sun gave no heat, and the water was as thin as the air itself. Even fragile blades of grass were as solid as unbreakable stone there, and the beasts greedily devoured the souls of the restless damned, which were visible to the unaided eye. That got Tsubasa thinking. Perhaps the one she had just bound to the material plane was one such soul devourer. She had fought soul eaters before...knew that her slain friends had done the same, but Tsubasa herself hadn't encountered one that even closely resembled the one standing before her now. She hoped he had not devoured one of the deceased Team Kimono's souls. It would break her heart even worse if she knew that one or more of them would never know rest because a devourer of souls had consumed them first. |
"No, not everyone is...special. Surin, however, is our ride."
The crazed inventor was still sputtering about his shattered door, before looking up at the group. "A ride! Oh...yes. Takin DID say you would show up sometime today...I assume you'll be wanting the motorized carriage, correct?" |
"Damn straight I'm not becoming a kimono..." Raze mumbled to himself as he returned to the world of the living yet again, form-shifting quickly into his corporeal spectral form. It seemed this method was quite efficient, allowing full translation of his power into the physical realm....the downside?
Raze fell onto what remained of his ass. It appeared he had to literally grow limbs in this case, with some sort of stupid hovering motion. "Damn! Of all the crummy ways to pop out of the spectral realm, this-" Raze then suddenly became aware in memory that he was visible now, and that the things he said were also audible. He turned slowly to face both Tsubasa and the other demons. "Um....Raze Hel, reporting for duty." |
Tsubasa turned to Koyuki. "I do not know this being, and therefore cannot vouch for his integrity."
She approached Raze and looked his face over from cheek to cheek. "In fact, I can't even tell if he had a life before becoming an inhabitant of the spiritual realm or if he was 'born' there. All I can say is, Mika would kill to study one such as him." |
Shinju held out a hand, and a silvery bladed tonfa materialized in her grasp. If this Raze Hel turned out to be an enemy, the crane was prepared to help send him back to the realm of the dead. But for the moment, she took no other action than summon her weapons. It was best to wait and see what the strange creature wanted.

Raze became aware that the group failed to realize that he was their ally, and that they had all met before, aside from the inventor. "I realize I may seem new to you, but I have in reality been with you this entire time, unseen. Furthermore, the last time you saw me, I did not look like this, but was in the body of another. Nonetheless, regardless of what I look like, I am Talkatz's spirtual messenger. For proof, I know all your names."
Raze extended a 'finger' and pointed at them in succession. "Shinju, Hasu, Tsubasa, and of course my good general Koyuki. I do not know the name of the inventor, and- Who the hell are you and where did you come from?" As pointed out before, Raze could not detect Maton whilst in the spirit realm, so his appearance in the group came as a bit of a shock. |
