Epic battle music

I'm looking for some epic battle music. Stuff from video games is great. Should be orchestrated and bold, sweeping, unique.

Whatcha got?

Daimo Mac, The Blue Light of Hope 07-28-2007 09:18 PM

ahem

Dancing Mad: Final Fantasy 6

Lavos Core Battle: Chrono Trigger.

While the latter isn;t orchestrated it has a "we must do this" vibe.

Dancing Mad is epic.

And...

One Winged Angel; FF7 Advent Children Version

Das Omen - E Nomine
O Fortuna - Richard Wagner
Road To Transylvania - Alan Sylvestri
Escaflowne - TV Theme

Well there's probably some stuff in this thread.

ArlanKels 07-28-2007 09:42 PM

Look up final fantasy.
Why? Because FF has some of the most sweeping, orchestral music in existence.

I also expect Xenosaga has some too, as it seems to be cinematic to the max.

Bear Mcleary's Prelude to War. I thinks its int eh 2nd Season Battelstar Galatica soundtrack.

Actually, FF6 is great for more than just Dancing Mad. If you really want some sweeping orchestral battle music out of there, go with "The Fierce Battle". That's the stuff, right there.

That thread sucked.

Well, people already got to Dancing Mad. And POS mentioned the Fierce Battle.

I'd also recommend Magus' battle theme in Chrono Trigger, FFIV's boss battle/fiend fight, and the Etrian Odyssey big boss fight.

Look at any of the good JRPG's battle theme's and you should get the music you are looking for
