The oscars

The Oscars are on RIGHT NOW! WOOOOO!

Tim Robbins just won for best supporting actor. I wish I had gotten around to seeing Mystic River.

If Johhny Depp and Keisha Castle-Hughes win I will take back all the nasty things I have said about the oscars over the years

Bite the Wax Tadpole 02-29-2004 09:40 PM

Nuh-uh, you didn't see Mystic River, Sean Penn must win, and Lost in Translation will win for best adapted screenplay...

Were they like scrambling to scrounge up the other two animated films?

Mr. Wind-Up Bird 02-29-2004 09:57 PM

American Splendor better win best adapted screen play. Or else I'm bustin' heads.

How nervous was Renée Zellweger when she was saying her acceptance speech? It went about 100 words/second and her voice was really shaky. I'm happy she won, though.

Being the way I am I have to commend whoever came up with the idea of crushing Michael Moore under a huge foot during the opening monologue. Actually, that whole opening was hilarious, and not just from one political point-of-view either :D

I'm still impressed at how much Robin Williams can make me laugh in just two minutes.

Did I miss robin williams? Billy Crystal is hosting.

Also, who has ever heard of any of the short documentaries?

Yeah. He presented the award for best animated feature I think. It was early on so you probably missed it. It was hilarious. From doing a high squeaky voice coming out of Billy Crystal's hand and a normal voice talking to Crystal himself, he announced the nominees as Elmer Fudd.

Sweet jesus, ROTK has something like six oscars already. I was sure that Scarlet Tide was going to win best song.

I sure suck at picking who is going to win.

Edit: Alright, they just stole Best Adapted Screenplay from American Splendor. ROTK is overstepping it's bounds.

Edit 2: Keisha Castle-Hughes is twice the actor Charlize Theron. What a bunch of crap.

Edit 3: 11 oscars. ROTK won for everything it possibly could.
