Which next-gen system is right for me?

Well, I've got the cash, but I'm having some major problems deciding what system to get. I'm open to all 3, presonally, but I want to hear other people's suggestions.

So, here's a little bit about my gaming Dos and Don'ts.

Like:
- Samurai-esque games
- Roleplaying games.
-Stratagy games.
- FPS games,
- games with style.
-Games that don't have graphics that give you a headache.

Don't like:
-Sports games.
-Realistic racing games, (If they have heavy traffic settings, then I'm cool with it.)
- Games that get extremely repeditive.
-games without multiplayer. (Thouhg I'll buy games if they are 1-player.)
- games that can be beaten in under 5 hours.

So, based on the information I've given about my gaming prefrences, can anyone here suggest a suitable system?

PS2. FPS games would be better to grab an x-box, but I don't think they have many, if any, RPGs... and the Gamecube is kind of lacking in both of those respects, compared to the other two. I'd probably go PS2, because you can find games from just about any genre, and they're strongest for the RPGs.

I have to fully agree that PS2 is that way to go. With RPGs is probably has the largest library of the bunch. It also has a few popupar FPS like the socom series (just be sure to get the PS2 Network card). As for strategy games I am not sure of you mean the FFT type or the type KOEI is famous for but PS2 has some great games in either respect (I hear a new romance of the 3 kingdoms is coming out, hope it doesn't like like everyone since the 3rd).

I would only go for PS2 if RPG's are at the top of your list. If samurai games are at the top of your list, Ninja Gaiden (for XBOX) is set to top them all.

Sports games have an edge up on XBOX and PS2 compared to Gamecube, but since you don't like them, you don't need to factor that in. If you are looking for Multiplayer, PS2 is the most lacking system.

Ya know, you wouldn't be going wrong buying any of the systems with what you want. There are games to look foward to on any of them. So I would say that you should pick a couple games you really want to get and then buy the system with those games.

i heard way of the samurai (on ps2) was a pretty good game. It also has tenchu wraith of heaven( though a version is being ported to xbox).

For fps, xbox all the way.
for rpgs, PS2 has it over both
strategy, PS2. PS2 has the romance of three kingdoms series, and front mission coming soon(fftactics with robots, basically, but more strategy involved)
samurai, iffy, but i'd go ps2. Way of Samurai, tenchu wraith of heaven, and samurai warriors(though it's more action, mash square for kills)

You seem to enjoy creativity in your games. While I'm not bashing the XBox and PS2, I think it is general consensus that most of the truely innovative creative games with play time are on Gamecube.

I also enjoy both FPS and RPGs, which is why I have both a PS2 and an Xbox. Right now if I had to choose between them, I'd take my Xbox. PS2 has nothing as far as FPS goes. Some would argue that Xbox has nothing as far as RPGs go, but they are extending their RPG library, with Fable, Sudeki, Jade Empire, and True Fantasy online. That and it also already has out KOTOR, Otogi, Arx Fatalis, Morrowind, Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance II, and a couple others.

Anyway, if you would rather have a bigger variety of RPGs and one or two good first person shooters, go with PS2. If you would rather have a bigger variety of shooters and a decent amount of RPGs, go with Xbox.

Never buy a GameCube.

Uh, if you like FPSes, why would you use anything other than a computer? I mean, seriously.

Use consoles for things they do right.
