Dear God....
20 times.... I have been killed by ruby weapon and emerald weapons each 20 times!!

Do I have seriously under-leveled characters or are the weapons designed to degenerate the average gamer to tears?

I could go poke Sephiroth with my Ultima Weapon and he would fall over dead... Am I missing something you have to do to beat it?

(I have done all the materia sidequests)

The last thing I have to ask is where to get the most AP and/or exp.
I've been practically living in ancient forest and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get possibly more expierience

Right now I am on level 80... so high high should I go? Ah screw it...I should just max out my stats
Does anyone know where to find the magic sources? I missed W-Item when I played the first disc...does anyone know if I could go back and still be able to find it in the 3rd disc?
I would just start replaying the game, but I finally got a gold chocobo and I really don't feel like trying to go through that again... lol :D

I know a trick for the Ruby WEAPON.... unlike many uber-bosses, it's not immune to paralysis. Hades = you pwn it hardcore. Bring Knights of the Round+Mime*3 if you can, since paralyze doesn't last forever, and you want to maximize your damage so you have to re-use hades as few times as possible. Another trick: If you enter the fight with 2 party members already KO'ed, it won't use the quicksand move, even if you revive them.
As for the Emerald WEAPON... Well, it's just a big fat pain in the ass. The best way I've heard to do it is Knights of the Round -> MIME MIME MIME MIME MIME MIME MIME until it's dead, but the problem with this strategy is that the Emerald WEAPON will often wipe you out while you're trying to kill it. It's hard to interrupt your mime chain to heal yourself, but it's do-able.

I remember that Emerald weapon is weak against gravity, and since he has a metric ass-load of HP, every demi hit will hurt him for 9999. Just hook demi to quadra magic and you should do 39997 damage to him each time. I'm assuming you have the Final move--Phoenix combo for aire tam storm.

Emerald weapon is prone to using that attack of his that pretty much wipes out your party whenever you use Knights of the Round. And I really don't think level matters that much.... When I beat Emerald Weapon, I was only about level 64.

I've heard that two, 'cept the strat i was told used the octa magic, unfortunately i can't remember how to get the octa magic materia. Methinks you have to kill Ruby Dragon for it.

its not all about the levels, your levels are fine. You just need to find the correct materia combo. Go to the www.eyesonff.com forums and ask around. They will tell you.

Ruby Dragon gives you a Detsert rose when you kill him. You trade that for a Gold Chocobo. I don't remember any octomagic.

Beating Weapons is 2% level and tactics and 98% luck. You just have to pray they use crappy attacks.

For AP, go to the very last level (in the meteor cave before Sepiroth) and fight the red dots *whose name escapes me* with something that boosts AP. They give a metric ass-load (he he, I like that term) of the stuff. Also, I'd suggest that you kill the magic pot for bunches and bunches of gil, but you need lotsa Elixers, and I got those with W-Item (I loves teh glitches)
