Band

I apologize in advance if a billion people already asked this question

But who is in marching band or concert band(ect.)?
I just saw the one band camp thread and I wondered if they were talking about the REAL band camp or the american pie overkilled joke

thanks :D

You guys can also use this as an all out band nerd thread... trust me I don't mind....
Just so long as the first sentence of your reply is not...
I'm an all out band fanatic and I've been a drummer for a year now...
Drummer is a truly evil word *hiss*

hello person I've never met before in my life who goes by the name of Ippy... ::blink:: By chance... are you a flute player? ::tilts head to side::

I'm not in band, but almost all of my friends are. I might join marching band next year. I play guitar. Maybe jazz band too (if i'm good enough :P)

More power to you that you want to join marching band :D
What instrument are you going to play for marching band?
And you'll be playing bass guitar for jazz band?

In the words of my fellow nerd Rei...
You know you've been in marching band to long when...
The background picture for your computer is your marching band, and you can pick yourself out. "2nd file 3rd rank beeyotch!"

ahem...speaking of jazz band...I'm a T.A. and I have taken over my band directors computer

well...not really but he didn't give anything for me to do. :fighter:

Electric guitar for marching band (playing rythym to back up our bass player), and electric guitar for jazz band.... jazz band just doesn't sound the same without some funky, high-pitched guitar solos :D!

Marching band and concert band here all the way. ^^

I play the clarinet for marching band, and I play the oboe for concert band (because oboe reeds are too freaking expencive to break one as often as reeds get broken in Marching Band.)

My third year of marching band next year. ^^

StormRider 03-01-2004 10:18 PM

I'm in a concert band.

Computer whore.... well I can't expect much else from thee Ippy, you leave me no choice but to abandon you... Stranvinsky is brainwashing me I tell you O.o But then again.... So is Shostakovich, and Tchaisovsky... and Ravel... er... shall I continue on with the list of dead zombie brainwashers?..... ::blink::

Ippy 03-01-2004 10:42 PM

Awesome!

It's good to hear that other people like band lol

except I have never seen someone play electric guitar for marching band nor did I think it was allowed... You need an amp turned up way high for people to be able to hear it and I'm not sure If they allow that

And as for Celess you rock!

I think the oboe is probably one of the best instruments, especially when you get a solo :D

and believe me I know the horror of buying double reads.... Rei goes to the same school as me and she always has to buy bassoon reeds

$16 for one reed.... sheesh
:thief: (methinks that will start to cost a lot of shineys)

and you wonder why I don't play reed instruments....

No...you needn't

And as a Dane Cook fan...we should all go to the DMV and interpret peoples thoughts....
MOVE!!!!!!! GO JEEZUS!!!

No matter how technologically advanced our times are, it will still take like 10 seconds at the DMV. "10 SECONDS!!!! C'MON!!! I GOTTA BE TO WORK IN 3 SECONDS!!!!" -Dane Cook
