Stretching it thin.

Saw this on another forum: (The picture too, I wish I could take credit for that.)

It's a girl, again, for the Duggars.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar welcomed their 17th child, and seventh daughter, into the world Thursday.

The Duggars say Jennifer Danielle was born at 10:01 a.m. at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. Jennifer weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and arrived five days after Michelle's due date.

Jim Bob Duggar called Today's THV shortly after Jennifer was born to share the good news. He says "She's (Jennifer) happy and healthy." The proud father says he and Michelle are happy to have their new daughter in their arms.

Less than 30 minutes after giving birth, the Duggars already were talking of having more.

Michelle Duggar says the family would "love to have more" and "love the ruffles and lace."

Jennifer joins the fast-growing Duggar brood, who live just outside Springdale in a 7,000-square-foot home. All the children, whose names start with the letter J, are home-schooled.

The oldest is 19 and the youngest, before Jennifer, is almost 2 years old.

Jennifer joins siblings: Joshua, 19; John David, 17; Janna, 17; Jill, 16; Jessa, 14; Jinger, 13; Joseph, 12; Josiah, 11; Joy-Anna, 9; Jedidiah, 8; Jeremiah, 8; Jason 7; James 6; Justin, 4; Jackson, 3; Johannah, almost 2.
I know there's larger families, but damn.

Looks like Jedidiah got the short stick.

Also, love the thread title.

I hope the father is a lawyer.

Redneck Scientist 08-02-2007 07:46 PM

Why do you hope he is a lawyer?

Did they all really need J-names?
Edit- There are only 15 people in that picture.

I can't help but think they're trying to create their own personal army...

Yes, ma'am, you've proven that your vagina, ovaries, and uterus are in perfect working order. I'm sure that your whole family is proud of your ability to reproduce like you were made by Xerox.

Now I'm not sure if you got the memo, but Earth is no longer underpopulated. Thank you for doing what you could to help shore up the population, though! :)

I'm sure by now, come labour time, the babies just slide out.

I've heard that after pushing out 3 kids, having sex with your wife is like sticking it into warm pudding. The husband must have a fetish for pudding....

At least (from that picture) that family looks like it's able to support that many kids. Or at least they have enough money to get a big family picture with nice clothes.

We have a family like that around here (I think they have 12-15 kids(I can't keep track, but their kids made up about 70% of my 4-H club)), but they are hardly able to take care of their kids financially. When they go out to eat, the kids have to take turns, because they can't afford to take all of the kids out (I'm talking, like, McDonalds). All of the girls sew their own clothing, and their house is like looking at a very crammed small daycare center.

I mean, it's good to have a big family and everything... but there's a line.

Anyway, I'll tell you what's probably stretching thin: their ideas for J names. I mean, they have a Joy-Anna and a Johannah in the same family.
Maybe I should e-mail them, they haven't used my name yet.
