Who cares?

I don't. I just don't see why anyone would care about politics and the like if it doesn't even involve them.

Anyone else agree with me?

So you have no interest at all in the future of our country?

Politics, like most things, should be dealt with in moderation. Get too deep into it and you'll go crazy.

Bob The Mercenary 03-01-2004 10:08 PM

You, my friend, had better prepare for some heavy flaming.

Doesn't involve you? Doesn't involve you? What do you mean it doesn't involve you? What kind or branch of "politics" are you talking about anyway? World relations? Taxation?

DarthZeth 03-01-2004 10:12 PM

i voe to tax lazy man 100%, take all the shit he already has, and out law his existance!

whos with me!?

Bob The Mercenary 03-01-2004 10:14 PM

*huzza huzza*

Krylo 03-01-2004 10:15 PM

No no. I vote to do all that except the outlawing his existence. Can't get any more money from someone who doesn't exist.

Anyway, that's a rather... extreme... example, but it does show how politics do, in fact, affect us. If congress were to pass a bill making it completely legal to watch everything we do/make that evidence admissible in court, and then say... outlaw masturbation... well, that'd be politics at work, tossing quite a few of us (probably nearly all) in jail.

It doesn't involve you because you don't involve yourself in it. If you look into things, you'll realize that there are many points you may find important being decided today by people who could easily be affected by people like you. Apathy is a horrible thing to have in a democratic government, it allows the government to be corrupted, and to fall. Take a look at some issues, man, and try to take a stand, but only after you educate yourself on both sides. You'll see how much it involves people.

Oh wait, you aren't in canada, are you? I don't know what to say, then. Don't know anything about canada (public school).

lazy man 03-01-2004 10:23 PM

alright I'll restate that. I mean things that happen in politics(like this gay marraige thing) that don't even remotely involve you and wish people would just shut up when the point is brought up.

And about the flaming, flame away. I won't give a shit, so do what you want.

Bob The Mercenary 03-01-2004 11:13 PM

'Cause it's fun to argue :)

StormRider 03-01-2004 11:14 PM

I second that.
