Wait, why a Zenith? What powers do they have I don't know about?

Dante 03-04-2004 10:03 PM

You don't know? Check out the page again. You were telling me about Dawn, Zenith, Twilight, Night, and Eclipse this morning.

And besides, they ARE the Chosen of the Unconquered Sun... heh heh heh...

IHateMakingNames 03-05-2004 12:58 AM

Is that the horse loving guy?

Krylo 03-05-2004 12:58 AM

Yes, yes it is. Rastus. I just figured if one half human race was good enough for him... why not all of them?

IHateMakingNames 03-05-2004 12:59 AM

How would you even do a snake? Do they have holes? (I don't know much about reptile sex... Let alone snake sex...)

Forever Zero 03-05-2004 01:01 AM

Damnit, why do we always get to talking about wierd sex at about 1:00? I'm going to bed and prempting the coming conversation...

Dante's answer: When you are very high on some baaaaaad shit.

Textbook answer: The male snake discharges the spermatozoa through a cloaca and anal hooks that are inserted into the cloaca of the female during the breeding season. These hooks bind the male and the female together while the spermatozoa are being discharged.

In other words, a male snake uses anal claws to attach himself to the female and he bleeds his sperm into her through a vagina-like orifice... Much like tribadism.

(I'm a biologist. It's my job to know.)

Krylo 03-05-2004 01:19 AM

Short answer: "Yes, they have a hole." But... here's my question... would it be lubricated or would rastus need some KY?

Dante 03-05-2004 01:26 AM

You would probably need KY. The hole is meant for fluid transfer, not genital insertion.

EDIT: Of course, considering snakes lay eggs, the cloaca might be able to stretch.

Krylo 03-06-2004 04:11 PM

Sorry about kinda sticking this on my back burner, but I don't have much to do with my character without Ren, and she hasn't been feeling well the last few days. Plus, I have things I need to happen with them/their courts before anything else happens too much. I'm going to advance the plot a bit today, however. Around this time tomorrow... or a little earlier (but in the middle of the night when all the rest of you are sleeping), I'll fast forward time a bit (about three or four days should do it I think). So do what you need to do this IC day and the next, and before that I'll do some Jareth/Ren/Ogre Army stuff.

Up to you. If you stay in the palace you'll probably end up being asked to join the human army when it moves. If you decide to leave the stalkers will probably have you keep an eye on the ogre army/join a small group designed to weaken their ranks through stealthy murder type things and try to redirect them/evacuate cities in their path.

Squishy Cheeks 03-06-2004 08:45 PM

I guess I'll head back to my outfit

Krylo 03-07-2004 05:49 PM

Bleh, Ren decided to take a nap at about 3:30 and is still asleep... guess the Jareth/Ren stuff will end up coming late tonight, and the time warp will be probably be tomorrow sometime. You guys just take care of everything you need to do. If you all seem to have it taken care of by tonight I might do it pretty early tomorrow... or just add it into the midst of the Jareth/Ren stuff tonight, depending.

Anyway, that's fine JAD... just tell the guards you want to go back to your outfit instead of staying and they'll escort you out of the city.

Edit: Or that works too.

Repost: I and Ren have the thing all typed out with the Ren/Jareth stuff, and I added the change of time to the end of it. I won't post it until tomorrow, however. Finish up what you need to do. Three days will pass when I post it... which will make five IC days since we started, I believe?

And by tommorrow I mean in about 10 to 15 hours after this here has been posted.

Repost2: Ok, it's now been 15 hours. Anything else you guys wanted to do today (IC today, that is) you'll have to do in flashbacks.

Forever Zero 03-07-2004 05:51 PM

Meh, I'll just attach "The Adventures of Zalbag!" to my next post detailing everything else that happened/will happen in the vault in that case.

Krylo 03-07-2004 05:55 PM

Well... I did give 39 hours+ warning on when I was going to do the time jump...

Besides, "The Adventures of Zalbag!" is a cool title... if you had it typed up already, I can delete the second post and repost it after you do your adventures, so the time leap won't come until after that...

Forever Zero 03-07-2004 05:57 PM

Technically the real warning came 15 hours ago, and I was asleep for a good number of those hours. however, the point is made.

Anyway, I'll try to have the total story update ready next time I post.

EDIT: No, it isn't ready already. I know what I am going to do, I just don't have it all typed up yet. I'll just attach it to one of my first posts, and let everyone go "WTF" the first few posts...

IHateMakingNames 03-07-2004 06:02 PM

Vlad's had no advantures... Just some whining slavers begging to keep their favorite things that Vlad is took.

First warning... said it shoulda been about 2-7 hours ago. Second said there were about fifteen hours left.

But, yah, if there aren't any more posts when you have it typed, just because I'm a nice guy, i'll get rid of the time warp for now... or if you ask real nice, I might get rid of it for a few more hours.

Edit: Screw it, I already waited 24 hours, I can wait a few more. Time warp happens as soon as FZ gets the rest of his 'adventures' up.

Forever Zero 03-07-2004 06:17 PM

Just post the rest of it. Its easier overall if you already have it done to just do it now and let everyone else respond. I'll add in my blip in an attachment to my next post on the current storyline. Don't let me hold up the rest of the storyline.

And Zalbag will most likely be part of the drafted army.

Krylo 03-07-2004 06:35 PM

Alrighty, re-posted.

Squishy Cheeks 03-07-2004 06:40 PM

So are you and ren going to drop in on any of us sometime soon?

Like, you know, the guy that has been by himself PC-wise since the beginning.

Krylo 03-07-2004 07:19 PM

You mean Biran? I told him to work something out with FZ or IHMN... but he just wouldn't listen. I suppose I'll have the ogre army crash his prison cell during the battle or something... have it take place in the city he's in, if he's still paying attention to th...

Oh wait, you meant you, didn't you? Jareth and Ren don't really leave the faerie kingdoms until the beginning of Chapter 4, the way I have it planned out thus far. However, Zalbag is apparently going to be in the war with the ogre/orc army, and you're apparently following the horde and watching them... so you should be able to meet him then. So basically, you can meet Zalbag pretty quick here... and you can meet Jareth and Ren near the beginning of Chapter 4, if you're in the right place at the right time.

Biran 03-07-2004 08:12 PM

I'm still paying attention to this RP, it's just that I really don't have much to do with the plot so far so I'm not posting much. And also, I didn't really feel comfortable asking FZ/IHMN for help.

Krylo 03-07-2004 08:24 PM

Alrighty then. Armies will be meeting in the middle of the city your character is imprisoned in. He's been imprisoned for about four or five days.

Also: Anyone else think it would be a good idea to start a thread around here where we could look over other people's RP styles and give them hints on improving them? Such as one poster I've seen who uses good description and what have you, but she (I'm assuming) puts those damnable asterisks around posts, and tends to use a lot of run ons. I think she could be pretty decent if she didn't do that.

And there are a few people that could do with some better description. You know, just various constructive criticisms to over-all style. I bring this up because I get sad reading a few RPs around here and see people that could be much better.

IHateMakingNames 03-07-2004 08:31 PM

Crimson right? (No idea about any of the post things, but got that from the "she")

And I am one of those description lacking people... Oh course, I know that, and just really don't care. You have to first know if people will listen to said criticisms and try to change, or just say 'Fuck you' and continue how they already RP.

Krylo 03-07-2004 08:45 PM

Yes, you are description lacking, but only when you're tossing up a quick post. You CAN put in description, as has been displayed quite often with Vlad here.

And yes, I was thinking of Crimson. She describes what her characters are doing pretty decently, but she uses lots of run ons (which annoy me) and asterisks.

I suppose you're right that they'd have to be willing to listen, however... I'd just like to be able to go into any RP started by anyone and see roleplaying that doesn't annoy me to read, due purely to it's content.

Squishy Cheeks 03-07-2004 08:46 PM

I can write flowing prose. I can write poetry. Here, though, I just don't care.

Krylo 03-07-2004 08:54 PM

Well, I wasn't talking about anyone in this RP. If I was, I wouldn't have asked here... wanted the opinion of people that can RP whether it'd be worthwhile trying to help others. You're all pretty good, at least by my standards. Just a few people... like the ones in Aero's RP, and most of the people that join Crimson's rps... stuper of thought, and a few others, that I could see improving quite a bit.

Forever Zero 03-07-2004 08:54 PM

I'm to cynical, stubborn, and all around annoyed/angry to care about helping the newb population, and I don't know if they would listen if any of the vets tried to correct them (I know when some people would recommend how to improve their posts to others, they just blew them off and still post horribly right now...), but I would support giving it a shot. New blood in the RP area is apprecieated as long as they are a good RPer and a good poster.

Biran 03-07-2004 08:55 PM

I know I'm also one of those descriptive-lacking people. I just always write that way because often in RPs I'm foolish enough to wait too long before posting, and then I'm lost in the plot and I don't have anything interesting to say. (Man, I really need to work on fixing that!) But another problem is that most of the RPing goodness happens when I'm in school or asleep.

Stop sleeping. Worked for me when I was still in school... you know, other than how I'd fall asleep everytime someone mentioned anything having to do with geometry or algebra...

Dr Pepper, Dr Pepper wil solve anything. I drink one in the morning, always takes care of my sleep deprevation induced symptoms.

I would, but I'm already tired all the time and I find it almost impossible to stay up all night.

Dr Pepper is truly the nectar of the gods... all I had at the time was mountain dew, however. And, though it has a higher caffeine content, one can not drink as much before one's tongue starts to taste of yellow ass.

Squishy Cheeks 03-07-2004 09:05 PM

coffee chilrins. Coffee chilrins, it's all about the brew of the bean.

Mountain Dew? I can barely drink one of those before I get that flavor in my mouth... Drinking an MD can ruin your day if it's not what you wanted (I know because one time at school, the vending machine ran our of Dr P and water, so I tried MD. Never, ever again will I do that...)

CelesJessa 03-07-2004 09:14 PM

*cries* Such torture. Everyone is talking about pop (er soda, for those of you who care) and I gave it up until the end of lent....(I've been doing pretty good too. ^^ ) I stayed up 'till 5 am yesterday/this morning without even a sip of pop (caffinated or not) I think that's pretty good for me...

But my drink of choice would be Vanilla Pepsi.... ^^ mmm...

Krylo 03-07-2004 09:19 PM

Yah, when I had my teeth fixed I gave it up completely for about a month (because that's what made my teeth rot in the first place). I only drink one or two cans a day now... used to be ALL I drank, ever.

And, it's pop for certain areas, soda for others. Pop, however, is more efficient. Three letters, one syllable, and we accomplish the same thing they do in four letters and two syllables.

Squishy Cheeks 03-07-2004 09:20 PM

wah wah, I gave up cigs and beef. and I've been going through withdrawl.

IHateMakingNames 03-07-2004 09:21 PM

You forgot coke. In a lot of places, they just say coke, mainly in southern states.

As for what I drink, I drink coke. I choose to go to sleep though. I like sleep.

Edit - As for lent, I gave up nothing. Screw lent.

Krylo 03-07-2004 09:24 PM

Yah, I don't give up nothin' unless it's for personal reasons (no new years resolutions and no lent). I'm glad I took a month off of pop, however. I now only drink it when I'm too lazy to poor a glass of milk (which is actually just too lazy to get the milk glasses out of my room and wash them), I'm really tired and need a little caffeine, or when I'm having a burger. Nothing compliments a burger like Dr Pepper. For the most part I like Milk better... and it isn't salted. Damn pop always leaves me thirsty.

Dante 03-07-2004 09:31 PM

As part of my anti-fat campaign... I am eating only two meals a day (would be one, but damn medicine has to be taken after meals), and I'm giving up all soft drinks... and eating half-portions... and taking those grapefruit diet pills...

I'm going to die.

CelesJessa 03-07-2004 09:51 PM

I wanted to test my willpower by giving up pop. ^^;; Plus, I personally think I drink pop too much, so it won't hurt anything by me giving it up. Also I think it's kinda fun to challenge myself every now and then. ^^

Anyhoo. Don't let my whining stop your conversation of pop and soft drinks and sources of caffiene or anything. ^^;; Lately, I've been fond of lemonade... (crystal light! ^^ )

Krylo 03-08-2004 12:45 AM

IHMN: Where are you now? I'm thinking you'd be at your third slave owner's house stealing his wife and kids or something like that... also, are you going to do the psionic amulet thing this chapter?

I probably would if I were you. I don't really have anything else planned for you until the next chapter.

IHateMakingNames 03-08-2004 03:23 PM

It was a three day skip, so Vlad would have already gotten everything they owed him. He would get everything the first day so the slavers could taint/ruin his new stuff, and Vlad wasn't letting them home until then.

I wasn't going to do much until the next chapter, except for a few scenes where he tries to use his amulet/test out his amulet.

Krylo 03-09-2004 07:03 PM

In response to the "Is this dead" on the RP thread:
Well, IHMN said he wasn't going to do much this chapter... Celes and Ecurt are both with him... that pretty much leaves most of it to you two and me and Ren. Ren who keeps laying down for naps at around 4 pm and waking up at around 4 am. NAPs! Anyway... I'll try to give it a kick in the ass, if you guys don't mind me kind of placing you two. I'll begin the ogre/human army's battle on top of Biran's prison cell... in more detail, that is.

Forever Zero 03-09-2004 07:05 PM

Placing me works. I wasn't totally sure waht I would do, if I would be some sort of line mage, or summoning some big fire spell or what. And the story will be done tonight, and I'll attach it to my first or second post.

Squishy Cheeks 03-09-2004 07:13 PM

No idea what Ecurt is doing (If anything)

Ecurt is in jail, and he'll get freed in the battle.

SS is technically in the RP, and he is technically part of my group (Which as of this point in the story is a very, very dangerous position...), but I don't know if he is really even in it anymore, or what he will be doing for the war (I'm guessing another draftee.)

No no, that's Biran... the gnome guy who hasn't posted since the first chapter. He responded a little while ago when I invoked his name to mess with Jad, so I figure I'd work him out of prison here.

Forever Zero 03-09-2004 07:40 PM

Oh, that's right, Ecurt is IHMN's Feles slave gladiator. I guess he is probably waiting for IHMN to go somewhere and/or do something, since he is his slave...

got them both mixed up because neither posts a lot...

Sorry I haven't posted much, I never seem to have anything to say in RP discussion topics, and until now I didn't have much to do with the plot.
