It puts me a little bit in mind of Dreyfus from the Pink Panther films, as Inspector Clouseau and his success despite unbelievable incompetence (not to mention those many occasions on which Clouseau inadvertently injured him) slowly drove him insane.

Reminds me of Dr Evil's lazy eye. Though I guess it's more of a permanently cramped eye.

...maybe he can convince WM to kiss it better. :)

Did BM have a stroke? Run out of collagen? Get something in his eye? Or has he been winking to an off-panel White Mage all this time?

...Anyone else just think that his eye is twitching so badly that when in still motion, it looks like he's squinting?

I certainly hope it's not permanent. It will make it a lot harder to play with BM's facial expressions if it is.
