Ya know what'd be a cool sequel...
 

I was in the one and a half hour mandatory bus ride home today and a thought struck me.

There are a lot of sequels. I opened my EGM and the 'weather forcast' thing they did had a poll on the games gamers were most looking forward to, and they're all sequels. Sure, some of them are bound to be good (Jak III, Ratchet and Clank 3) but arent there a lot of other series that deserve to be 'sequel'-ed? This thread is basically where we can post what game series we want to be continued (NOTE: Remakes don't count, and don't post series that are obviously gunna be sequel-ed *i.e. MGS, DOA, sports games...*)

I personally want a Lunar 3. It seems plausible enough, and the gameplay itself is superb, plus 2D animation must be cheap compared to alot of the game juggernauts, what with their fancy-pantsy polygons.

First things first: please please learn their vs. there vs. they're and i will love you forever and read your posts more.

as for the actual question, I'd say Powerstone 3. Then, FFVI or FFV-2. Of course those are impossible. FFVII-2 would be cool, too, though, and that may very well happen.

An FFT3 would be cool. Grim Fandango 2, another monkey island (please! i need my monkey island!), maybe something else. Can't think right now.

Oh you mean a sequel that hasen't already been anounced? Uh...How 'bout Megaman 9? Or Megaman Legends 3? I'd like to see that.

don't hold your breathe for a US mother 3 release. 8 months and no us release date for mother 1+2.

i'd like to see a brave fencer musashi sequel

Diablo 3 would be nice(too bad it's impossible)

Starcraft 2 would also be nice(too bad that won't happen in another 5 years)

Legend of Dragoon 2 would be nice.

The revival of Fallout 3 would make me weep openly...

A new Zelda game would be great. One of course without the Cel shading which I hate. I don't care if you get used to looking at it we are capable of making 3D characters so we should lol. Wild Arms 4 simply because I've grown to like the series. A Metal Gear Solid sequel that continued the story from MGS2. So I'm not talking about snake eater though it'll probably be awesome. I just want to continue with the MGS2 story though hopefully they don't go all complicated on it again. A gundam game that's actually good. Resident Evil VIII I imagine they're gonna go downhill and just slop stuff together until they hit creative genius at 8. Umm can't really think of much else that isn't already at least rumored. You could throw in a new Doom and Duck Hunt 2004 if you want I guess. :)

Uh. Ok. So, we CAN make movies with only special effects. Should we make all movies movies with special effects? I doubt it. It's fine that you don't like cel-shading, but come up with a better reason than 'we can do other things!1' Also, just curiousm have you ever played it? Follow-up: what's your stance on 'kiddy games?'

So MP37, you just wanted to post every game series that is confirmed to have sequels?

If I see a Viewtiful Joe 2 before I go, I will die a happy man.
