Mitsu got up. Fire in his eyes. "How bout this Al Bhed scum surrender or I make you a permaneant addition to the temple's collection of statues."
|
Yngwie's mocking voice carried out of the bubble of distorted light.
"Weaklings should shut up before they get killed for good..." |
OOC: Raine should already be running away. Dezil pushed her away from Yngwie when he first attacked him...
"I will never surrender. I have taken the vow of a Guardian, and I will defend my summoner to the death!" Dezil said. He took advantage of the momentary distraction and pushed agianst the weapon lock they had going, pushing him back again. Anger rushed into him, and he quickly brought the sword back around for another swing at the Al-Bhed. |
Yngwie knew exactly what that sword was capable of, so, rather than meet it head on, he vaulted over Dezil's head, landing on the flat of Dezil's huge blade when it reached his other side. Yngwie levelled Chirijiraden at Dezil's head.
"Death. What do you know of death? So eager to throw your life away. You know NOTHING!" Yngwie drew his arm back, then slashed at Dezil's head. |
"Freezer Burn!" Mitsu shouted. His magics misfired. He could form the spell but not the target. The fire/ice spell flew at yngwie. Striking his blade. The sword shattered.
|
[OOC:] Wow, Drake lost his other shirt sleeve! He'd better buy some bandages, as he used his right sleeve to bandage his leg previously, and now Zita used his left. Bah, perhaps sleeveless shirts are the style in Spira these days, eh?
And shattering the guy's balde? That sounds like a little too much to me...[/OOC] Drake staggered upright, clutching his halberd in his good arm and his left arm hanging limply at his side. "Thanks, man." he mumbled to Zita. He saw the swordsman continue to attack. I won't be able to fight for a while...but I can help Raine escape... He tripped and fell once again. "This just isn't my day..." he mumbled. |
Mitsu's spell narrowly missed Yngwie's arm, but it did shatter his sword, and the pieces of Chirijiraden scattered all over as the swordsman stared dumbly at the broken blade. Then he remembered where he was, and leaped off Dezil's sword even as the younger man turned his giant weapon on edge and cut upwards.
Landing in a crouch, Yngwie cursed. "Damn you, mage..." He went over his options silently. Without Chirijiraden, he had no effective means of melee, and melee was his strong point. He hadn't installed the powerblades either... so all he could use his grenades. But he didn;t have a lot of those, and that mage was rapidly becoming a pest... Not to mention the swordsman and that gunner... |
(OOC: moved my post to make it work better)
While everyone else was paying attention to Yngwie, Raine closed her eyes and swung her staff into a wide arc. Nobody really noticed what she was doing until Ifrit stood where she was once standing with Raine sitting high up on his sholder, glaring down angrilly... kinda hard not to notice. With all of their attention on her, she spoke to Yngwie, "Listen. I don't know why you insist on stopping my pilgrimage, when it's obvious I refuse to stop." She glanced over at Ifrit, "Right now, I have a very angry Ifrit here about ready to show you what he's made of... but that would probably cause a forest fire... but I'm sure Ifrit has no problem making mince-meat out of you with his claws, so I give you two options... either leave now in one piece, or stay here and we get to kill you. Either way. We win." She said, glaring down. She normally wasn't very violent but if it took an angry Ifrit in person to get him to retreat and leave everyone safe and sound, than she would do it. EDIT: OOC: oh crap.. um.. dante could you take the last bit of your latest post out and move it to a new post after mine. ^^:; heh we fixed it at the same time. |
OOC: Is this good?
Then he saw Raine summon Ifrit, and all his plans went out of the window. MAybe if he had a good weapon, he could down them before the aeon decided to char-broil him in a flash of fire. But he was virtually unarmed now, and his neuro-disruptor and throwing daggers would hardly be enough... "You think you're achieving something here? Do you? Even if I die... you still lose! Nothing's going to change, unless you let me take her!" He looked around, then noticed the guardians, all out for blood and ready for abttle. "But it looks like none of you are willing to listen. No matter... We'll meet again!" |
"Next time I won't miss." Mitsu replied.
