Arcades

I know that not a lot of people come onto a forum with a business background or anything...

Heck, I still don't have one myself.

But I always thought about a place to have people come to and enjoy both with and without the family.

Living is Vegas is kinda tough, that's true but I would like to do more than live, I'd like to start an arcade for this place. Somewhere that people can go to, enjoy the sharings and have a good time. Well, that and a good meal or a movie.

Sadly, I have no idea where to start to research on not only the location of these bedeveled things but advertising...

Anyone have ideas or anything?

Hmmm....... I some relatives in Vegas, so I'll join in. First of all, the games. Amy worthwhile arcade needs to have the greats. You know them all, and I'm to lazy to list 'em. Also don't forget the old schools: Pac'man is an example. We need the older gamers to enjoy their time. On the location, try somwhere fairly popular, like with the teens and stuff, and maybe take some polls. Polls are always helpful. Then begin planning layouts. You know, I sound exstatic.

Pac-Man
Space Invaders
Frogger
Gauntlet legends
Tekken Tag Team
Air Hockey
That one game where you're a ship and it's all, like, "LAZERSPEWPEWPEW," and "EXPLOSIONEXPLOSION!" and you're, like, "OMGGETTHEPOWERUPGETTHEPOWERUP!"

...I don't quite know what that last game is called, but it's really fun.

Games to include:
[some few racing games, Initial D, etc]
Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection
DDR
[if you can get it] Guitar Freaks/Drum Mania
Beatmania X
Guilty Gear XX
Gundam SEED: Alliance vs. ZAFT II
Time Crisis 4
House of the Dead 4

well....that's the games that get everyone at arcades in Japan....

OH!
Photobooth or something like sticker pictures.

The Raiden Series?

I would say get an old copy of Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow over Mystara.

Because damn if it isn't a good side scroller.

Also get VS Castlevania and Double Dragon. Because Castlevania is a lot more fun VS.

I am assuming this won't happen anytime soon, but if you can do it, I will be moving out to Arizona soon and might be able to stop by if you get it up and running.

Oh, and don't get GGAC until they fix those silly glitches. "I am Roger, I make Bridget take no damage from projectiles!" FTW?

And if they're not glitches, just don't get it. That's bull.

Two things that still bring in the people are Marvel Vs Capcom and Initial D...

Everywhere I go there's always one of those.

Pacman or Galaga are a given.

Oh, another given for an arcade:

Time Crisis *insert number*

I swear, I don't go anywhere arcade-like without seeing at least one of them there. Same goes for House of the Dead, I guess, but that's up for grabs.

That and almost any sort of top-down or left-right shooter, as said, is good.

And fighting games and side scrollers have been mentioned, so I guess that's another thing I don't have to talk about.

At our arcades we have lots of machines that have just all the old classics on one machine. You can just dial up what you want and it saves heaps of space for new games which can be dedicated to a console.
