I've been bashing the ps3 for awhile, and I didn't care about mgs,ff13 or any of the over hyped titles I know will be crap. But now I may be forced to buy a ps3,
because of this game. Not to mention that Nippon Ichi will probably be making games for the ps3 from now on.

That being said, I want to buy a PS3 because of the games. I know that Sony has royally screwed some stuff over, but I've been a fan of the Playstation console for most of my life and I really enjoy the system, what it has to offer, and what it hopefully will offer.

Hating the PS3 isn't console fanboyism, it's a national sport.

Brown jokes are worth three points, making fun of the lack of currently released titles is seven, jokes about to be released titles are eight, jokes about stealing features are worth five points, and jokes about Sony's directors and upper management are worth ten points.

Yeah but, I figure MGS is PROBABLY going to have substance for the wii, and I really didn't care for ff12. Screw lair! heavenly sword is probably not going to suck but, it will be over hyped. If disgaea3 wasn't coming out for the ps3 i'd never buy it unless something like final fantasy tactics came out for it. Also I have doubts about the ps3 surviving there taking away backwards compatibility now, and I don't think people will respond positively to that; even if it's cheaper.

Ok...this has NOTHING to do with my obvious PS3 bias here. Please don't take it as such. I just want to make an obvious observation.

....does anyone notice how this game really seems to have no graphical update from Disgara 1 or 2?

I don't want to say it should gave to but I mean...this is the PS3. If it was the Wii or even the 360, I could kind of see the sticking to the old style. But putting this on the PS3 only and then making it look like a game that would work on the Dreamcast...

Its going to generate some negativity. And I'm not talking about from me because I LIKE games that have this type of graphics (note: make more Cel Shaded and Sprite console games please).

I will be buying all of the consoles, it's just a matter of time. I have the Wii and hopefully the 360 will be next, followed by the PS3 sometime after its next price drop.

Well, a lot of people are complaining about that actually. and theres going to be a lot of whining. but Nippon Ichi always have there games sell out quickly and they become rare quick. So they probaly won't have any problem with sales. Still, I really wish they had and, they should have put it on the ps2 instead.

Just buy a PS3, beat the game, and sell it. That's what a lot of gamers do in Japan I believe.

Personally, I wouldn't be at all surprised if this game came out on the Wii eventually. The PSP got Disgaea, and then a few months later it was announced for the DS.

I think a lot of developers are in a bind right now. It's the first console leadership shift in over ten years, so it's kind of understandable. What makes it worse for them is that this shift wasn't really expected. I'm willing to bet that a lot of developers are going to be hard pressed to switch, but I suspect they will eventually.

If the demo is any indication it's a very, very poor man's God of War.

So I guess if you haven't played God of War it might not suck.
