Yeah, but on the other hand, he'd be a vampire in full silver armor, which would be HILARIOUS.

...Even more so for the werewolf thing.

Also: A vampire doppleganger would have to drink blood. It's part of the condition.

Vampirism and Lycanthropy are magical diseases, so while a Doppleganger could imitate them, one couldn't actually turn somebody.

Though this made me look at the Dopple bio in Races, and shouldn't they be immune to disease, at least when in their real form (Or lose diseases when turned back)? In that form they are just blobs that control every aspect of themselves, so I don't see how something could affect them.

I couldn't remember what they were susceptible to off the top of my head, and didn't feel like checking.

PhoenixFlame 08-29-2007 04:26 PM

Nor could they technically emulate a disease or aberration, no?

I mean, otherwise he can just mutate himself with a form of hybrid body rearrangment, and develop a hellhound's mouth arm and Alucard(Hellsing) someone.

Aerozord 08-29-2007 04:28 PM

when Alucard did that is was high level blood alchemy, blood familars. In many old vampiric legends the vampire lords and blood emporers were able to do this.

I'm sure it could look like one though without having all the powers of one. It would be a step down from being a complete copy of one but it would scare a lot of people too.

Aerozord 08-29-2007 04:50 PM

well as I said, in mythology only the strongest bloodlines had access to blood alchemy

RMB, your PC could just want out of the city and a chance to lash out at the humans. If he overhears the plan he could easily become involved, even so far as to replace the bigoted general.

Aerozord 08-29-2007 04:55 PM

speaking of the general I wanted to be clear about something. Is the general the exception or the rule about how humans feel about other races?

Red Mage Black 08-29-2007 04:57 PM

Tharex doesn't want to lash out at the humans, it wants the amulet of Alucard. Though your idea to replace the General doesn't sound too bad in its own. I think in human soldier form it'd be able to question the General on his plan.

I guess if Krylo gives it a go I can attempt something. Though I seriously don't want it to be godmoddy.
