I was working on a post yesterday afternoon when I realized I had to leave the house in about fifteen minutes to go dancing.

...yeah...so hopefully I'll have something up shortly.

Azisien 01-09-2008 08:12 PM

All caught up, post is planned, Oyo is dead, all is right in the world.

Barahad is working on something, and hopefully Loki posts his Ariosto finale. I'll hold off until tommorrow with that hope in mind, otherwise I'll just write it myself. I'm eager to give some insight into the Gorn-Jahvid fight that's been happening this whole time.

Barahad 01-14-2008 05:48 PM

Right. Posted. Umm...sorry for the delay, and hopefully this sort of makes up for it.

Azisien 01-22-2008 09:41 PM

Sorry for the really long delay. This semester is hell and I really should have finished this before the break ended. Oh well, managing, managing...

The battle is over. The next posts should occur AFTER the first day's battle. With their leaders dead, the Venurian army pulled back and the Kenshurians re-fortified Gole.

As a summary,

Oyo is dead. Jyde is dead. Ariosto survived. Graeme is barely alive. Penn, Bentis, and Loki all sustained major injuries and are recovering. Vincent and Amelia are in good health. Gorn is exhausted and bed-ridden, but otherwise alive and well.

At the next available time I'll be updating with the conclusion. The combat elements of Book 1 are now over, all that's left is the wrap-up. I'll go over the battle in my next post, along with the story's future direction, with some foreshadowing for Book 2.

...Woohoo!

TheBlindMime 01-31-2008 02:00 AM

I'm still here.

I didn't know how far to put myself in the future so I continued the battle portion a little longer. But after his musings atop gargoyle hill he moved on to the healers tents or the warrior camps and took a coma.

Azisien 01-31-2008 03:15 PM

My next and one of my final posts will occur in the evening/night of the day of the battle (anybody remember what day it is? Ugh).

But school's crazy right now, I've barely had time to look at NPF. Weekend should give me some relief though.

TheBlindMime 01-31-2008 08:09 PM

Day 59.

Azisien 02-10-2008 11:58 AM

60 days, and almost 300 posts. We did it!

Thanks to all who participated, and particular props to those who managed to stick it out to the very, very end. *thumbs up to Mime*

A continuation into Book 2 will depend on interest down the road. I figure we're all busy with school and work. I know I am, so I won't be starting it right up again. Maybe in late April/early May.

I did leave all those open plot holes for a reason. :D

Thanks guys!

PS: Oh yeah, there's still 5 posts left in the thread. If there are any last words from the characters, feel free.
PPS: Mime totally gets rep.

Yeah, just wanted to publicly apologize for dropping out. Just wanted it to be known that it was sudden and unwanted on my end too.

However, I am looking forward to Book 2, hopefully the later start date will coincide with a less hectic schedule. I spent a little bit of time thinking up new friends for Ariosto.

Also, looking forward to how this (new?) Mithik thing plays out.

The Neverending Title™

Any objection to me adding a little to Vincent's story, maybe add a loose thread for the next chapter in his saga, whomever may take up the mantle?

I also apologize for not posting these last few weeks. A combination of writers block and crazy changed up schedule are what I will blame.

Definite Kudos to TBM!
