Edit: Anyone know why they call Bluegrass, Bluegrass? Looks pretty green to me...

I think that's a little too off-topicy even for the off-topic forum. Care to introduce a slightly more coherent and conducive-to-continuing-conversation topic? And don't say you don't care to. I know you do. I can see that look in your eye. No, don't give me the doe-eyes. I'm not changing my mind.

But bluegrass has no color, unless you're tripping... Unless there's some kind of bluegrass that isn't The Devil Went Down to Georgia.

I meant the actual grass that's called Bluegrass, not the music. xD

To pertain to the name...
Bluegrass refers to several species of grasses of the genus Poa, native to Kentucky.

Bluegrass is partially called "Bluegrass" because of the fact that it is a cool season grass, meaning it grows well in the colder seasons such as fall. There was some old-tribe/culture (Cannot remember which one) which named it as thus, leaving it to translate to another language as the english equivilent of "Blue grass"


Basically. It's bluegrass because that's what they called it.



Also, the music bluegrass is called bluegrass mainly because of the fact that a group called the " Blue Grass Boys " started said genre.
Why they called their group The Blue Grass Boys is beyond me.

Why do people who go to the gym try to get the best parking spot?

Because humans as a race are lazy and expect to get everything done without any work at all, so they get the closest parking spot because they want the least amount of work possible to get the maximum amount of workoutage.

I'd say because they don't want to walk far when they get done exercising due to sore muscles

That too.

also, they probably still smell funny, even if they use the showers there. they wanna get home as fast as possible so they can remove the gym stank from them. and possibly to read a good book.
