What?!!

You mean to say that NO ONE does their webcomic for quasi-celebrity status, or Money? crazy...

Well, MY webcomic was developed through highschool... First it was an attemp to add content to the school's webpage, but it began growing... and we wanted to do somethign with it. So, soon, i will be advertising me and my friends webcomic venture far and wide through the internet. Its all funny, and super-cool. Also, I want to sell T-shirts. Money, Money Money... :thief:

Ah, t-shirts... they're what can make or break a comic.
Or at least the merchandise.

A friend and I are working on a few webcomics together actually. A fan-comic, a tribute fan-comic, and a semi-side-story on a tribute fan-comic.
The fan-comic and the semi-side-story rely on roleplays for the scripts. FC is a sprite comic, where Triple-S is anime. (She's an EXCELLENT anime artist :D )
The tribute comic, however, relies on pieces that we both add to in paragraphs in a lengthy story form.

We hope to get the site up by the start of next year at the latest.

I like making comics just for fun. I show 'em to my friends, and I update them a lot (already done about... 50 episodes I think...) but personally I don't like hosting them on a website. Then I would feel almost 'pushed' to make comics and for me it wouldn't be so much fun anymore. Then again, fame and fortune's always good! :D

Does anybody actually talk about comics in this site!?

slightly aboveaverage man 03-08-2004 08:52 PM

I have not created a comic due to my fear that knowing how it's done will ruin the experience for me.
It happened with movies; after taking a filmmaking course and producing several successful local films, I could no longer watch movies because I no longer see the plot/storyline... all I see now are camera angles, score and lighting.

AAARRRRRRGGGGG!!!!!

Zing! Ow, ow. You're breakin' my heart, Behemoth! :(

Right. Here's why I did the following:

(The Legend of) Key-Fu: Initially it was just some silly-ass short comic I did for another community during my birthday, among some other things (one of which Mortis helped me out with - I gave him some sprites, the idea, and in exchange for some wallpapers by me, he made it happen).

Then the next year I decided to keep going. I do Key-Fu mainly because it makes people laugh.

Ragnarok Wisdom: Primarily I do this comic because I don't draw enough. The comic forces me to draw every five days (when I don't cut corners by reusing images in order to get a comic out on time). The comic brings in a small amount of regular visitors, so I guess I'm making people laugh with it, heh - the other reason why I do the comic.

RW's become read so much that it's become pretty hard to keep up with the bandwidth demands...

Forum Culture: A string of funny mental images that popped into my head while doing other things. I wrote them down and decided to do something with them than let them plague my head saying "DO ME" like a ... like a... ... something.

I make comics because it's hellishly fun to come up with strange, twisted worlds and plotlines. I love the storytelling experience. ^_^

Heh, I'm doing it for the opposite reason of most people here. Mostly just to get my name on something public. And there's nothing I'd rather be associated with than 8BT. Of course, I'm also doing it as a Thank You to Brian for all the laughs over the last year or so, and also because I always wanted to make my own story about the cast of 8BT, but yeah, mainly for the fame =P By the way, where do I submit guestcomics anyway?
