Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Well, it's been out for nearly a week and no thread, so... Here we are!

I have to say one thing though, anyone who owns a Wii and hasn't gotten this yet (provided you have the money) needs to go out and get it RIGHT NOW!! Seriously, totally worth it.

Anyway, other than the drastic change in control and the addition of voices, the game is very reminiscent of the first two. Which is very good, in my opinion. It feels like Prime was always bound to end up like this.

My only two real gripes don't even bring the game down any, really. Sometimes doors don't open after you shoot them, which is annoying, but it doesn't really slow things down any. And also, trying to scan something in the middle of an environment full of scannable objects is a pain in the ass. And just like the door problem, it didn't really slow the game down at all.

Speaking of slowing down, I never noticed a dip in the frame rate at all during my whole play through. I have to hand it to Retro, they know how to keep a game running strong, even with a hell of a lot happening on screen.

So, yeah, fantastic way to finish the trilogy. Buy it now, if you haven't, play it more if you have!

It doesn't come out here for a month or so yet. Which is ridiculous. I blame the French.

It only sucks trying to play when your damn remote starts spazzing out and making the cursor fly all over the screen while you're in the middle of a huge boss fight and you can't hit it worth a crap!
But yes, it's an awesomely amazing game. The voiceovers really are a nice touch, and now I finally know how to say Samus' name right! :p

Yeah, fresh batteries or a fresh recharge are good ideas for this one.

The final boss was far too easy. Even though at the end of the game you mow down everything. Even Ridley was harder.

Yeah, I have that problem a lot too. Didn't use to, but ever since I knocked my sensor bar askew (and recalibrated) my remote won't stay centered.

Final Boss?! Holy shit. I've put five solid hours into this game and I'm only 18% through it. Where in the world did you find enough time to beat it?

Anyways, I'm loving this game. Which is funny, cause I only sorta-kinda liked the first two. (Never got far in either.)

I got the game on the 28th and finished on the 1st, with 99% gotten. Accursed 1%. I can't seem to find two certain Lore.

When you have three days, it's pretty easy =P

Edit: I just checked, 16 hours was put into the game, and that was with hourly breaks every four hours.

Yeah, I get that problem too, mostly because my remote's too close to the sensor bar. (Don't have much room at all here, though)

Other than that, it's nice to be able to lock-on AND target-lead. This is how a Wii FPS SHOULD be done, in my opinion.

I've never played Prime 1 or 2. Would you prime 3 players recommend that I pick up those first?

I'm guessing those of you who say it was too easy saw "normal" and "veteran" and couldn't figure out that they meant easy and normal. If you start a game and see two difficulty settings, they are always easy and normal, no matter what they tell you.

So I played it on the real normal difficulty, and beat it with ~80% completion in 17 hours and change. I can't give you exact numbers because your game gets reset if you save after you beat it. The final boss killed me once, Ridley didn't, in either fight, although I have to say Rundas was by far the toughest fight in the game. Generally, the big monster bosses weren't as tough as the "locked in a room with a pack of mooks" events, mainly because everyone and their mother has hypermode. Even the goddamn tinbots use it.
