Any Smallville fans?
just wunderin! i saw that he had read the superman: red son miniseries... just wondering if anybody here is smallville fans.
cause yay for smallville |
Take a look around the random forum, as I could have sworn a post regarding this week's episode...
Also, at least Lydia (Mashirosen) watches the show, its reasonable to assume Brian (Kurosen) might as well. Sky Warrior Bob |
there's a random forum?

Erg... I'm still used to the Webcomic forums set-up... But basically I'm talking abour the General forum. Eg - This one. Look for the one w/ the title that requests this week's episode of Smallville to get explained.

Brian will watch it sometimes, but it's mostly just me and Frank. Brian's more of a Batman guy anyway, and he's a canon ho, so things like the episode with young Jor-El visiting Earth drive him nutty.
I'm usually more of a Batman girl myself, since Superman in most forms just bores me to tears, but sometimes people do come up with interesting takes on the character. I really love Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's A Superman for All Seasons, and it's really starting to show that Mr. Loeb is one of the guys in charge of Smallville. (If you like Smallville and haven't read that book yet, go do it!) |
Blech. Super heroes plus teen angst inevitably sets my teeth on edge. I can't stand series' where a valid plot involves the main character bouncing back and forth between fighting an evil villian and, of all things, getting a date for the prom...

Superman I and II>Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman>Superman III>Smallville>Superman IV
That being said: Kristin Kreuk>Teri Hatcher>Margot Kidder |

You haven't even bothered looking for my other post, have you? :(
I try to make sense of the episode there, but even I'm still very confused. The movies being better than Smallville? In the sense that they pretty much stuck to cannon, and were about the classic do-no-wrong Superman, I guess you could say that. However, it was really cheesy, and rife with bad acting. Smallville, while cheesy on more than one occasion, at least throws elements of death, and other matters to think about, and isn't just playing it safe all the time. Unlike Lois & Clark, relationships are an afterthought to the action, and is far better choreographed than L&C ever was. I personally like the idea of Clark being a confused, over-obsessive,disturbed young man. I mean, it adds a more realistic quality to him than the God Modder that Superman usually is portrayed as, and IMO, that's a good thing. Sky Warrior Bob |
