Torind just created a large (orc sized at best) acid puppet from Fire and Water. He can move it around, but it won't be very fast, and he can't do anything else during this time.

He probably won't be casting much spells afterward either.

Since I've seem to have lost a bit of interest... in my current character I was wondering if I could create a new one despite where we are in the RP.

Name: Kharlen Aremian
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Race: Human
(*)Chosen Class: Knight
Weapons: Steel Broadsword and a kite shield.
Items: Crystal Charm given to him by his father and a beaded necklace from his younger sister.

Stats:
Melee: XII
Ranged: 0
Magic: 0
Psionics: 0
Stealth: 0
Connections: V

Powers: Surprisingly none unless there are some physical enhancing ones I can add.

Bio: At a young age Kharlens only goal in life was to fulfill the promise he made to his father, to become a knight in the Imperial Army. Though his family was not of noble heritage, his father had gained the favor of one such house.

Back in the day, the head of a noble family went out for his weekly hunt. To his misfortune he was attacked by a group of savage orcs. Barely able to defend himself he was almost killed. Luck had struck the noble that day as Kharlen's father was out gathering wood for the winter. He had heard the noble's cries and rushed to the scene. Though not able to kill them, he held them off long enough for them to both escape from the forest.

The noble was brought back to the house where he was promptly nursed back to health by Kharlen's mother and sister. The man thanked them and promised them anything they wanted, including nobility and money. Though they refused it to keep with their simpler life, Kharlen took advantage of this offer.

He asked that since his family was not nobility that he would represent and fund him for the academy. Unable to refuse the man agreed, but told Kharlen that life would be tougher there and he would be treated less formal then the others. Though the child was dead set on fulfilling his promise he did not care.

A few months later Kharlen received a letter, acceptance into the knights academy. It was all as the nobleman had said, tougher training and even tougher treatment. He was too determined to care and worked through the pain. Some say he was the hardest working one there, excelling in training. After hearing of his fathers death, none of the students could keep up with him. Even the teachers were surprised about how determined he was to succeed.

When graduation finally came and he was knighted it was the greatest day of his life, finally fulfilling the promise he made to his father all those years ago. Now, as one of the teachers of the academy, he trains all those with the same aspiration he once had in depth to give them the best training experiences.

Kharlen currently serves as Captain of the Imperial Armies 4th Brigade.

Description: Fairly tall, surprisingly muscular from all the training hes gone through, short wavy red hair and brown eyes. In armor he wears full plate mail with the insignia of the Imperial army, steel leggings, a full iron helmet, and usually carries around a steel broadsword and kite shield.

Extra: Unlike his superiors, Kharlen remains neutral towards other races.

I also added the 17 instead of the 15 we did at start up. So, may I start over with this one?

You may. I'd suggest waiting for my post to do anything, though.

Also: Kill the dopple... or I can. Whichever. But I would prefer to keep one PC per player.

I rather we ignore he existed.

There was nothing he actually did that would make this difficult.

Hey, sorry for inventing an uber baddy, but it just sort of came to me and I figured I'd got with it. It seemed to fit the theme of a disgusting band of subhuman raiders, all of which are at least nominally evil. A creature of disease, much like the followers of Nurgle in Warhammer fictions.

I also saw a good reason for interaction, as the miasma of pestilence around the beast is supernatural as well as disgusting, sapping the strength of any who approach. Even with Hashel's super-cool Fae powers he'd be hard pressed to battle this foe while fighting back the urge to vomit. He's asked Kay for assistance in the form of a wind to blow the pestilence away, of course it would have to be a rather special wind, relieving not only the mndane nuisance of airborne pathogens and filth so foul it would make Fithfiend wretch, but also interweaving elements of countermagic to nullify the strength sapping effect of the beasts aura.

this is just a minor tangent and shouldn't derail the story at all, I just wanted something particularly nasty to chop into little bits. If Krylo want's to take control of the baddy I'd love that.

ok, that's my update for today, be back tomorrow! Same bat time, same bat channel!

Oh! I almost forgot to mention, I've expanded on the magical interlinking between Asidhara and Hashel a bit. It seems in keeping with the nature of fae magic that it would be invasive, illusionary and downright addictive. Despite the great boons of strength, speed and impermeability Hashel has received, they're all feeding off of his emotion, which would ostensibly lead to a very dangerous feed back loop of emotional conflagration and mystical outburst. Even though Asidhara is maintaining control of it as best she can, she is not human and therefore might not understand the depths to which a mortal can lose himself and return, as fae are inherently mad in the first place, a loss of sanity is as much a mere moments whim as leading a rag tag force of inhuman refugees into battle against a nigh unstoppable beast horde.

in other words, Hashel is slowly being driven crazy by his mad funky powers. He seemed a bit too buffed out to not have a counterbalance, and I rather enjoy the idea of role playing the slow dissolution of sanity, and (hopefully) the gradual recovery and redemption of the self.

I am almost certain PF will dig this too, I hope so at least!

I will not obout anyone who says the post is confusing. I would try to write an explaination now but I need to sleep. Maybe tomorrow if it is needed.

PhoenixFlame 09-12-2007 06:53 AM

Brilliant, Funka. Yeah, I've been a bit busy of late, but expect my post today, following behind Hashel and stabbying anyone whom isn't 100% dead.

As much as I hate to admit it you're kinda right. Then again, the amulet has made it out on to the field and he could try a pitiful attempt at seizing the amulet from the creature.

Aerozord 09-12-2007 01:02 PM

to check, this super troll ripping through the army, is still a long ways away from us correct?

Demetrius 09-12-2007 03:46 PM

I hope so, Freeny doesn't mind the idea of the Great Journey, but I do so very much enjoy playing him.
