Listen guys sorry for not posting recently, but I just got my Junior Cert. results and was nervous all week. To nervous to get anything decent writen up. I'll be posting tommorrow.
|
this just in: Manlove.
also, there's an incarnate deity of destruction dancing dangerously in the direction of out doorstep... maybe this city is not long for the mortal coil, and we will all be fleeing like scared little bumblebees in the face of insurmountable destrcution. but what is this guy trying to do anyways? (besides break stuff I mean...) |
I'm guessing he'll try to get back his former body/avatar, then seek revenge on those who sealed him away in the first place. We'll narrowly escape a few close calls, discover how to ultimately banish/exterminate his existence, and live like heroes.
So...is the pestilence thing with the ogres or the god of destruction or what? I mean, it's an interesting creation of a sort, but the fact that there was no real description of the ogre and orc army having anything other than ogres and orcs in their ranks leaves me a bit confused as to what it's doing. Did one of the shamans create it? |
We'll go with like, all the shamans created it together, as that Funka created it as part of the ogre/orc army.
|
hey K, do those poisons and drugs that Skitter is using seem to have any affect on the ogres?
|
Yes they are, I just forgot to write it up...
Also, Destruction Incarnate isn't at the front doors yet, but he will be rather soon, and the ogres should stop moving into the city, sooner yet. Either fleeing or being slaughtered by him. |
Ugh, I also forgot to ask... being captain of a brigade, this entitles me to bring out how many men on to the battlefield? I could imagine more then how many people Hashel brought.
|
Eh, I'd say the same amount.
Difference is, Hashel is just a merc leader (Though being hired by the government). Your guy is actually part of the military, thus has influence and has provided resources/supplies/troops/ |
in other words, hashel has quantity and/or knight guy has quality (better trained/supplied, but fewer)
|
I guess as soon as the line breaks or you guys retreat I'll sweep in to cover the escape. The ogre will either be near impossible to kill or completely impossible, either way the 4th brigade is there to provide reinforcements when you call for 'em.
|
Hah. Yeah. See the thing is--God of Destruction Incarnate walking down Main Gate way.
So slowing the ogres down? Yeah. Least of your problems. |
Sorry, Sorry, Sorry.
Will find time to post I swear it. Shakespeare is a very exhaustive topic to write about. Though, did you know Shylock is the only character in Merchant of Venice not to lie? True story. The spell was originally going to take 3 posts to do, but I might have to cut it back because I haven't been able post and there's no point doing it too late. Again, sorry. |

well I have a post where I kill the monster thing and then divert my attentions back to the main threat, but uh, well NPF decided last night would be the perfect time to take a shit all over me.
So I need to like, retype it and junk. I'll get it done today! I promise! |
well Icarus will attack the incarnate being first chance he gets... then probably be knocked half dead with one hit.

I sorely remember getting rid of it for my knight character Lume. Plus I doubt transforming into a lookalike of the monster would give him the same strength, magic, aura, and other abilities. This thing is an ogre whose form was twisted by Alucard's dark powers. I don't even think a transformation could match that.

Aero, Icarus dies if he faces the Alucard Troll.
RMB, I'm pretty sure Lume meant for the Dopple to face Alucard so he dies there (As opposed to preventing he never existed). |
Would it not be a 1 hit kill much like that with any of the others? It is one truly crappy way to go out and kind of a bummer.
|
I role play to my characters nature, even if that nature is suicidal. Thats why I'm giving a heads up, because unless he feels his chances are zero he will attack.
|
Aero, then he dies.
However, what you should do to preserve the character but keep him alive is alter the situation so he doesn't go die. For instance, an Ogre's wild swinging destroys part of a building, and the rubble lands on Icarus, rendering him unconscious (To be saved by PCs/NPCs). Edit - Bah, don't respond, post limit and such. |
I may have thought of a way to kill off the doppler. It's not very swift but I guess it works. As Icarus goes for the ogre the dopple is like 'Nu uh I'm claiming this one' and foolishly goes after the same target. He ends up getting in the way, dies, and spares Icarus of the same fate.
