FINAL FANTASY!!!!

Since 1987 (god help me if knew that in roman numerals) Final Fantasy has been one of the biggest game franchises. They have released good games, bad games, and downright ugly games.

Looking back at the series as a whole, I liked it. For X years of my life, it was a wonderful distraction from school, work, and family.

How about you? What do you think of II decades of Chocobos, Moogles, magic, Potions, summons, and stuff?

I think that's correct.

I've only played a few games, in the following order.
FF IX, FF VII, FF X, FF VIII, FF I/II, FF XII (the two pack for the PS).

I've liked playing them, but the only one that stood out for me was FF X.
That's the one I've liked playing very much, more than the others.

Hell, I still need to finish FF XII, and I've had it for a good period of time now.

But I very much like Final Fantasy, yes.

I can't help but notice that nobody has mentioned Final Fantasy Tactics. Which is the best game with the words Final Fantasy in its title ever!

Fear the ninja with martial arts and blade grasp! Fear the knight dual wielding Ragnaraok and Excalibur! And fear Orlandu, the most powerful and game breaking character there is!

XII is a godsend.

People should stop buying VII paraphernalia so that S-E concentrates in more important matters.

I hate XIII because of its stupid naming and VII overtones.

I omniloathe S-E for firing Yatsumi Matsuno.

It doesn't matter how much I love to hate Final Fantasy, I keep playing it.

Lets see... I played through and beat FF's I through VII, doing everything, I got disgusted by how stupid the storyline of VIII was and stopped playing halfway through OMG We were all raised together in the same orphanage but we all forgot and now we have to fight the woman who raised us and her husband is our ally but he doesn't mention knowing us but none of that really matters because our greatest rival is going to awaken some other lady in space and now we have to travel through time to stop her!!!, and I never really got into IX or X.

I should really rent XII or something, but from what I've seen of the battle system, I doubt I'll get into that, either.

*twitch* Must...resist...urge...to...argue...

I'll distract myself by talking about VI. In my opinion, VI is the best major title. Oh sure, the ATB system is grossly outdated now, but VI utilized it just fine. Plus, Kefka's in that game, and Kefka's awesome.

XII is quite excellent. Only reason I haven't finished it yet is because my girlfriends 7 year old lost my memory card with my 100 hour save :gonk:

But I agree that VI has been the best so far. Not only it had a likable cast, but its storyline was epic and dramatic, as well as a bit sandbox like.

Im waiting to get the International Zodiac version of XII to play on my Girlfriend's PS2...

But still... nothing beats Final fantasy Tactics...

The game mechanics can be enterily broken on your second playtrough (lvl 99 on 1st chapter, Kill anyhting with one hit, kill EVERYHTING with one hit, Sorty battles gets WAY too easy...) but even with that, it's one marvelous piece of gaming... and S-E should stop being a dick about it and make it a PROPER sequel!

Also, next week we will have a TON of info on XIII (TGS) so i'll wait untill then to choose if XIII is to love or to hate
