Someone doesn't like Anon.
Everyone who has fucked with the Anon stuff has lost their Anon avatars, their ability to make their own titles, their ability to have sigs, has a few pains in the ass added to their account, so on and so forth. It will last ten days, and will not get in the way of posting. However--it will hopefully serve as a "We don't want that shit here" warning to get them to knock it the fuck off. The next step is actual banning. |
It is probably a bit late to be asking this, but it is really bugging me off: what is this anon thing everybody was talking about and why is it such a bother/sin/stigma?
|
When Nikose was trying to get me to used it he said it was like the mascot of 4chan or something.

I totally agree... I don't like /b/ or any of the chans.
They have this thing on there where you have to post anonymously, and you get a number and a password or something. Also, Anonymous are hackers on steriods but you can protect yourself if you get curtains and a dog. I've never actually been there, but I read about it on EncyclopediaDramatica (which is just a *chan front anyway). |

Speaking of which--closing. |
Posting to repeat something I said in the mod-only forums: this is NPF. This isn't /b/ or any other chan and it's not going to become like one. We have -- or used to have -- a very different sort of "culture" to theirs and I'd like to see that maintained.
If you're just so eat up with the chans that you can't stop talking about them here, and if you can't understand or accept that what they do over there we're not interested in doing over here, you're welcome to go back to them and stay there. Maybe you've outgrown NPF, maybe you need more epic lulz or zippocat than we can give you, whatever, that's fine, but seriously. This isn't /b/ or any other chan and it's not going to become like one. |
