Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

It still looks very non-sensical, for reasons that have been discussed everywhere on the Internet. I like to think of it as Mario & Sonic Wii/DS Sports. Still, that video made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It's Mario against Sonic!! Not only does it give more possibility for the latter to be in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but this is a dream come true for many people.

I suppose it was the atmosphere. For now, I'm sold.

It makes me think. How can Mario, a plumber, keep up with the blue headchog of Demon Speed. I call it demon speed for a reason, thank you. It will raise many questions, but the rabid Mario vs. Sonic fanboys will utterly destroy all forms of video game logic... wait video game logic!

Stupid Math Pre Calculus.

I say that Sonic needs to be tied to some sort of weight to restrain his top speed. And let's not forget the swimming too. Some sort of life saver should do. And that's why Nintendo never fully develops a character.

Also, I'm certain too that this not only makes it possible, but confirms the fact that Sonic will be in Brawl. Those polls where made for a reason to begin with, and ignoring them would be complete waste.

The game still doesn't make me interested. Olympics with Mario and Sonic? Not interested. Sonic? Not interested. Mario side game not created by Intelligent Systems or having an interesting gimmick? Not interested.

But then I started to think. Peach....Daisy...Cream...Amy...Rogue...Possibly Vanilla, Blaze, side characters like Pauline.... And guest appearances from side characters like Toadete, Vivian, etc....

Perhaps this game might have a hidden flair all its own...

Lol, but that aside, the game itself just looks, so far, just to be another less than stellar Mario 'sports' game tacked onto a standard 'Olympics 200X' release. They even dumbed down everyones inherent abilities to boot.

I still call shenanigans on this until the game comes out. Even if it is an actual game, I'm not interested anyways.

Blaze was actually in the trailer. You could see her during the hurdles, she was on the left.

The problem I'm seeing with this game is the same thing Ken just said. It looks like a normal sports game as opposed to a Mario sports game.

Yeah... I think that it makes very little sense to have Mario against Sonic in any competition related to speed. Sonic is NAMED for the speed he moves at, and yet the two were neck-and-neck in the video.

Yeah, but Sonic still can't swim...

Somehow, Sonic vs Mario didn't quite pan out like I thought it would if they're JUST in the olympics together...

Given the fact that Mario has (cannonically) done anything short of professional Oral Sex in a video game, I'd think that the idea of him racing against Sonic and actually being close would be relatively no surprise.

Besides, Sonic racing Mario is probably going to be a one-sided thing anyway, but Mario will probably do way better at swimming anyway. Hence the whole "Choose a Character" thing.
