What's a rending chain?

And now I need to think of my witch powers... I was thinking along the lines of Sabertooth, but that is just a power/speed/endurance boost, and not really some special powers.

Nah. Go for some real power, because that contradicts in so many ways.

It was Dante's big glowing chain thing in FF RP that basically blew up what it touched on contact, but the chain stayed in one piece, it only blew up what it was wrapped around. A nasty weapon he used in his assault on Preos.

Rending Chain: A chain that when energized, causes anything it touches to violently explode. Also, this chain is sentient and capable of telekinesis (on itself only, though), and can pierce most warding spells.

EDIT 2: IHMN should have emotion control powers. When he opens his mouth, people can't concentrate because they want to smash his face in. However, this is also accompanied by a strange compulsion NOT to attack him, so they end up very irritated and tending to hurt people around them.

The rending chain was a cousin of the short lived nagika, a leather whip with hardened glass shards embedded in it. The nagika went out of use due to its lack of durability and lack of weight/danger ratio which caused many training deaths. The rending chain solved both these problems.

Bio: Robin didn't really know what to do when she got to College, so she kind of closed her eyes and picked two random majors. Those happened to be chemistry with a specialty in forensics and Art. After finishing school she got a job working in a Forensics lab and draws on the side for fun and some extra cash. She doesn't look like a typical scientist, but she's a pretty damn good one. While workign in the lab, she got tangeled up in the p5 buisness and ended up being recruited. She's pretty laid back and loves to watch hockey (she's a rabid Montreal fan like me).
