Ahh, you're thinking of LARP I believe. Cosplay is basically geek version of Halloween.

Cosplay is when someone at a Con dresses up like an anime/book/manga/game character.

^ Yeah, and sometimes those anime/book/manga/game characters have guns. This is where Airsoft comes in.

I almost bought an airsoft gun. I definitely wont be gettign one now though, I have a feeling that now, Gun + Stephen = Lots of dead birds and people losing an eye.

These things couldn't kill birds. They shoot plastic pellets at a max of 500 fps.
